wall textures

    trying to figure out this prob.When sloping an guardrail one side comes out straight and one side slanted.? Depending on which side of track with 2 rails
    both left sides the same and both right sides the same straight and slanted.

    There's nothing we can do about that. The difference in appearance is caused by the way the triangles are arranged:

    At the start of the wall we have this (note that the diagonal line meets the end of the wall at the top):

    When the shape at the start is changed, the green triangle gets squashed, distorting the texture, but the blue triangle is effectively rotated, which simply rotates the texture:

    At the other end we have this (the diagonal meets the end of the wall at the bottom):

    When the shape at the end is changed, the blue triangle is squashed and the green one is left intact:
    [​IMG]

    There's no way we can change the direction of those diagonals, so I think the best solution is to have the two end shapes close together so that the end is almost vertical and the player is less likely to notice the difference in appearance.
