Virtual RallyX mod setup help

I have a really annoying problem when it comes to driving the Virtual RallyX mod. when i go onto gravel (and sometimes happens on tarmac) the car just wants to understeer out wide and into the closest barrier. If someone can help me that would be really awesome cos I'm thinking it is something to do with the setup as i am turning early, throwing the car around but literally nothing works
