Vettel vs Alonso: 2012 Formula One WDC (UPDATE)

In the last couple of days after the 2012 Formula One Brazilian Grand Prix we have seen several videos of Sebastian Vettel overtaking under yellow caution creating a reasonable doubt that the number one car of Red Bull Racing has violated the series' rules. In case you have missed out on this news you can watch the videos here and here.

As an avid Formula One fan, I would like to see the FIA clarifying this situation and for that to happen, Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro has to file a protest before this Friday so the incidents can get reviewed.
There is also another movement from Jean Eric Vergne under the Safety Car that lead the cars to the end of the race where he drop more than 19 seconds from Vettel in a movement that lacks any logic, and that some persons consider a try to open a 20 seconds gap to protect Vettel from loosing the position in case of an eventual penalty, what according to this opinions would imply that RBR knew about the possibility of being penalized after the race.

It's not about revenge, it's not about making a driver loose a World Drivers' Championship outside the track. It's about justice and as much fair play as possible in the pinnacle of Motorsports. An official investigation it's needed to clarify the situation for the good of both drivers.

Someone asked me in the Formula One forums "would you really want to win a championship like this?"... for me the more appropriate question would be "whould you like to loose a world title like this?"

The only solution is to force Ferrari, by popular pressure, to file a protest and force FIA to make an appropriate motivated decision, so Sebastian Vettel can say for the rest of his life that he won 2012 WDC fair and square, or Alonso can claim his third world championship title that may belong to him according to sportsmanship and rules.

What can you do to make yourself heard?

Update:

Ferrari has asked for clarification from the FIA here

Now it is time to wait for the official statement from FIA explaining why Vettel actions are legal, statement that can be used in the future to prevent confusing situations like this one.

Thanks to the thousands of people that visited this post and to the +1500 that supported the initiative.

Update 2:

Ferrari has accepted the FIA verdict which has confirmed that the overtake was indeed legal. Please find the related article here.

Just hypothetically, lets assume that RBR did overtake in an illegal way and that they will receive a penalty that results in Vettel losing the WDC to Alonso.

What will happen then? I think the time to bridge the gap to the first GP of 2013 will be over in no-time. Would be good if the FIA just makes a final statement about this.

several videos show it wasn't yellow!

and HAHAHAHA - sorry Ferrari was always and will always be a cheating team "let Michael pass for the championship" or "oops, the submission of Massa just broke".. or " Schumacher tries hitting Villeneuve." ect. ect. ect..

Sorry - no RBR and Vettel deserve the victory especially after the bs after the Austin GP!

Cool, then let FIA explain it, make an official statement, and bring on 2013, that is the aim of all this.
