Using GTR2 mods in P&G

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if it was possible to use original GTR2 mods in my Power & Glory installation? I would like to try some of the historic cars on modern tracks or modern cars on older tracks...
Could I just get a fresh install of GTR2, install P&G in it and then add all mods into that?
Edit: alternatively, can i use P&G cars & tracks in GTR2 since both games are based on the same engine and files?

You can use all GTR2 tracks in P&G, but not the cars.
I was about to ask, where are the cars in "downloads", when I saw this thread, but there don't appear to be any.

Thanks. What about the other way round? Do P&G cars like the ones from festbierbude.de work in GTR2?
