Using Google Sketchup..

  1. Just started using Google Sketchup 7. Can anyone tell me how to convert Sketchup models to BTB? Do I need another program? Thanks
     
  2. Two ways to do that:

    1 - Buy the professional version of Sketchup. It saves all models as 3DS and from that you can import into BTB.

    2 - Buy 3DSimed software which imports Sketchup format and is capable to save in any simulators format you want.

    Unfortunately both solutions recquires money investment.

    Support for exporting COLLADA models has been added to SketchUp. Even in its free version, this tool lets you export kmz files, which are zip files that contain the COLLADA (.dae) file and all the associated textures, in addition to the klm geospecific information.


    but when I try to import give this error:
