Track Designing Competition

My logic for choosing.
For it to be the European GP, I had to cross out all countries which don't currently host a race, as they'd all want it named after the country, eg French GP.
Then I decided to choose a region of one of those countries that hasn't hosted a GP, such as maybe Bavaria, The North Coast of Spain, South Italy, Sicily and Sardinia, Vienna, Not Budapest, Brussels, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland.

I decided to scrap mountainous areas, such as Scotland and Wales, North Spain, Bavaria etc, and only choose larger countries. This left me trying to find the long straights. An attempt to maybe reignite Pergusa or Syracuse were on the cards, but then I found the perfect location in Northern Ireland

At least 8km meant no upper limit in my eyes. You want crazy straights? I found them for you.

I even found someone going around the area I chose

Just stumbled on this forum and it's what I have been looking for- I love designing new tracks. I have at least 50 tracks saved on my phone, I wonder if I can enter one of them into this competition

@k_badam thank you.
Because the race at Baku was terrible, the FIA want to move the European Grand Prix somewhere else. Now, your task is to build a new track. Now the rules are:
1. It must be within the current EU member states.
2. It must be at least 8 km long.
3. It must have a long straight (I mean Mulsanne straight-long).
Other than those, there are no rules. You can make the track as long as you like, and as fast as you like, and it can either be a permanent track (Like Silverstone), a street or road course (Like Monaco or the Nordschleife), or a hybrid (Like Le Mans). It can be however you want, it doesn't matter if it would actually pass the FIA regulations. Have fun!
Does Great Britain Count as we are currently in the process of leaving the EU

It depends. We do mostly tracks by tracing a route on either public roads or editing current race tracks on gmap-pedometer. Enter some rounds, and if you win, you get to set the next challenge.

Well here's my entry- I decided between 2- might still change my mind. I first thought how Germany has had moneyproblems recently with its circuits and may need a new track. This circuit was built of another shorter street track that looped through the "city" section of Frankfurt. When I extended the track I found that it reminded me of hockeneim's old layout- fast sections that led into chicanes. This track is unrealistic but would be really challenging in real life

A project I've worked on before, but not anywhere near to this length. 10.2km EU GP in Athens, incorporating the old Olympic site that originally incoporated an old airport. So, plenty of straights along unused runways, and all those extra buildings could be repurposed into paddocks, hotels, media, etc.

I have changed my mind- here is my other entry(can someone delete my other post) https://www.gmap-pedometer.com/m/?r=6976824&rf=1
This track runs counter-clockwise and the pits are situated here- https://www.gmap-pedometer.com/m/?r=6977027&rf=1.

I know Spain has already tried(unsuccessfully) to host a street track but I feel this does it justice, with long streights that would create overtaking opportunities going in to T2 and in-to the 'Hairpin' at the east of the circuit. The track also has some Monaco style but high speed chicanes that would test many a driver

After a long and carefully thought out decision, the prize narrowly goes to @Jolero02. That was probably the toughest decision I've faced yet, because, you all could have won it. @Jimlaad43 came an extremely close second, and if this were a Formula 1 race, the finishing margin between you four would've been less than a hundredth of a second. Anyways, @Jolero02, please set a new challenge.

Yay on my first try:D
Ok sorry if something similar has been done before but here we go:
Bernie Ecclestone has lost patience with the port impirial street circuit and has decided to use the funding on a new circuit on the east coast of America. Design a circuit that is eaither fully street or half permiant, half street anywhere on the east coast or around there(doesn't have to be waterfront) You must show the pit location on gmap pedometer and the track can be 4km-7km(a tiny bit above or below is acceptable) I will look for 2 things:
1. A VARIETY of corner types, high, medium and low speed corners, not just 90 to 90 or hairpin to hairpin
2. Elevation change is welcomed, like the port impirial circuit or this example will give u inspiration- good luck!:geek::)
