Time Trial #2 Westwood Park

http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/race-series-tracks-4/westwood-park-v1-0-1258/ If you don't have the track.
  • This is a track that was in my hometown of Vancouver. I was quite surprised and happy to see it in game :good:
So run this one the same way as we did on the Topgear time trial.

Time Trial #3 Alpine Hills
http://www.racedepartment.com/downlo...lls-v1-1-5040/

Wow this is a pretty wild track! Very challenging one to run. So there is really no rules set for time trial, just pick your car, and run the course and put up a time. Just remember to state which track which car and if you used any assists. have fun!

Great vid :) I love that track too, thanks for that :D...Yeah, it's always surprising and a little strange, to race in-game on a track that's been created only down the road from where you live :)...I had exactly the same feelings as you, after going to watch racing for real, at my local "Snetterton" race course...Then finding out, I can go race "ON" the track in Race07

Swifty

I grew up in Poco and spent many a day at Westwood.I look up there every morning on the way to work and see all the houses.Twas a sad time when they announced the lease was up.

I believe Stirling Moss designed the track. The sim remakes I've driven are fairly close. They rounded out dears leap a lil too much and the esses seem a lil off but it's good to drive on again regardless.

As Alpine Hills is finally ready i'll put it here to see the best times you guys can do on it. You can download the track from Download section here: http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/race-series-tracks-4/alpine-hills-v1-1-5040/

I'm fairly positive that we'll be racing this in Racing Club in the future so this is a great opportunity to learn the track. But i can warn you: it is VERY hard... Just look at the specs:

13.9km
250m of elevation
55 corners, 27 left, 28 right

If you can beat the AI with 90% settings, you're already a winner. Heck, even getting one lap around is an accomplishment.

PS: Yes, those are ditches in the side of the road.. A friendly warning; don't get stuck.. And beware the double yellow lines, they hold a little surprise
