Time for a new bicycle. What should i get?

If you go with a mtb with front springs, try to get a set that can "lock"

It only takes one big hill to let you know how much energy you're wasting if your springs are moving up and down. also as others have stated road tires with higher pressure will help tremendously in efficiency

I'll be going rigid frame and forks.I never really liked suspension frame and forks.

I think i may go for one of these. GT Karakoram 1.0

Seems to be that rigid forks are not too common anymore but i want to stick to a non suspension frame.

Or maybe this, Specialized Stumpjumper Carbon Expert 29
9910

I think i'm leaning more towards this one:)

In another thread, Ivan had asked for a "smiley" for "puke". I meant to infer that I would be using the puke smiley for his "Vespa" response as all the Vespa's I know are a far cry from being a bicycle. I just got rid of my '80 Trek road machine, still have an '86 hard front and frame Trek mountain bike as well as my new fav, a Specialized Rockhopper.

My communication skills never got honed, sorry.
