This is an offer of help for Rfactor 2

As the title says, I'm no expert and I found it all daunting to start with but If any newcomers want to know how to get into RFactor2 and what to download and what not to download plus some graphic settings just either reply in here or PM me. I've spent the last 2 weeks just on this game and it's flippin amazingly the bestest lol game I've ever played. It can seem a pain at first but trust me, it's soo easy. Anyway the offer is there if anyone needs it.

Cheers

The F1 2014 RFT mod I think it's called is pretty solid. I really like the tire wear and it also shows on the tire graphics as well. I had to put some low TC, ABS on these as they were a bitch to control and I kept blowing the engines up. Then I realised to stop changing all the way down to 2nd and 3rd gears as with this new gearing, it doesn't like it lol and at 250k an engine lolol

I can´t seem to be smart enough to install mods on rf2!!
Can someone help me? Do I have to go through the mod manager or how do I have to add content?

Thanks

Download the package file (.rfcmp file)
Put it in your packages folder
Intall the package via the launcher (or mod manager.)

Edit: if you login to the racedepartment.com rF2 servers, all cars and track used will be downloaded and installed for you. ;)

Gonna strike while the iron is hot as quite a few people taking up the offer for RF2 so thought If I can be of help just ask away. If I can't, as stated earlier there are lots of people that can.

If your offer still valid I'd like a list of Hi Quality Mods that are essential for rF2 ;) and where to get them !

I have now tried and installed and un-installed umpteen versions of mostly tracks and cars and it would really help if someone could list the so called essentials.

Thank YOU !

Firstly, you need to stop comparing with AC or your other sims Mikael. Obviously the isi stuff to start. Have you tried Nordschliefe and Bathurst? What cars do you like to drive, open wheelers, tin tops?

So far AC has the most complete package IMO regarding well, everything content wise so I really can't stop comparing :)

Yes ISI stuff are already on my SSD :)
Mostly Tin Tops but occasionally open wheelers.
Nordschleife 2.01 and Bathurst 1.02 was the first ones I downloaded ;)

Had to change AA from 4 to 3 to get rid of awful looking trees and what not on some tracks.

Thanks

As far as i know that's only needed at Feels3 tracks dated from 2012-2013: Croft, Poznan and Putnam Park. But the tracks are very enjoyable.

The Virtua_lemans tracks: Sebring , Mid Ohio , Le Mans 1991-1996 are still used a lot.

The Gjed tool for rF2 is released a few weeks ago. So i'm going to keep my eye open for the new releases. Just visit @Steven Andrew 's Sim Racing for Life Facebook page.

An older car, but i like it a lot is the Ferrari challenge 2011 and ASR Classic open wheelers are reworking their cars.

Thanks -Got to try those tracks when I get home !

The Ferrari challenge was the first mod I really like apart from that it look a bit flat it drives like a dream.

Are you saying that the Ferrari challenge is about to be updated ?

Yes the ASR stuff is very good. Do you have any GT3 stuff. BES and Apex. Also can you afford 3Euro for a months premium and you can then download a months worth of club racing tracks. Have you tried the BTCC mod? Check out that Facebook page Gijs posted. Sign up to the fsr forum and try all their league tracks. There really is a lot of stuff and yes, some is a bit iffy but if you compare everything to ac then............... Personally I don't like ac but that's just me. 20 minutes on every track and you won't be bothered what it looks like because of the physics and ffb plus rf2 has the best community in RD! Lololol

Some of my favorite non-isi tracks all on RD, quality somewhat mixed, but good for offline racing. You have to adjust AI to your own liking... I prefer to start at 100% dam, 100% str, 100% agg, 0% lim, usually pretty good, but if AI slow (I can win too easy) or too fast (I cant keep up with the slowest) => higher/lower str. Its also car dependent. But learn the track first!
