terrain.tdf files

Hello.
I am building my 1st track (Langhorne speedway paved).
The real track had a runoff shoulder towards the bottom of the track.
I was able to float a 2nd closed track under the main layout to make this look
perfect (will post pics later). What I would like to do is make this bottom run-off track bumpy
(to keep people from running on it ..aside from an emergency) and keep the top or main track
smooth.
Can this be done? If so how.
I don't think there is a terrain file for each drivable track in the same track file...
Sorry for any confusion.
Thanks
Jim

Hi Jim - two words - Cross Sections

In your track shape/cross section tool window, add more nodes to the cross section. Then 'shape' the cross section into your shape. you can then, in the materials window, remove the material from that section of track and add in one you want.

Then after that, add more cross sections right around your track, altering the node heigh on just that bumpy section, this should give you an uneven surface. Here is a video on Cross Sections

Go to the videos page in BTB http://www.bobstrackbuilder.net/videos.aspx for any other references.

Good Luck
