Team Event - Lotus Elan/Porsche 914 @ Spa Thursday 25th June

Practice: 20 min
Qualification: 10 min
Race: 10 laps (See Note 4 below)

Note2: Porsche 914 skinpack will be used Download if needed.

Team Event Rules:
1. Teams consisting of 2 drivers will be allocated at random, on or before the day of the event.
2. Drivers must sign up before the event takes place to be allocated a team at random. Drivers who arrive not signed up before the teams are created out of the signed up drivers will complete the rest of the teams in the order whihc they arrive.
3. Each team will be allocated a skin to use for each car in the sign up thread. These skins must be used by that team. The skin choice is not open for debate.
4. Drivers will alternate the cars in the two races.
Race 1 - Driver 1 = Elan, Driver 2 = Porsche
Race 2 - Driver 1 = Porsche, Driver 2 = Elan
5. In the event of an odd number of participants, one team will have 3 members allocated, and the best 2 scores per race will count in the event totals for that team. Driver 3 should mirror Driver 1 in car usage (Race 1= Elan, Race 2= Porsche)

1+2 = Team 1
3+4 = Team 2
5+6 = Team 3
7+8 = Team 4
9+10 = Team 5

And, while I'd love to believe in miracles, I can't see any event that's not a league one getting more than 16 drivers in it.

Perhaps putting the flyer on RD homepage for a day? It would be a shame if we can't use all these gorgeous skins

I will speak to the authorities about the flyer Kris.

It seems that people like signing up later rather than earlier.

There's always the possibility that, if they aren't sure of their plans, they don't want to sign up and then have to pull out, which is, I suppose, fair enough.

What I'll do is, create the teams from the signed up drivers tomorrow night after the Sprint event / Wednesday morning, and then later signers up just make the teams up in the order they arrive.

No mate, the Elan has a load of default skins - does the whole "wrong Lotus" thing make that particular question moot?

As for setups, Sam's are always great and stable - check the online folders and see if there's an "Elan Sam" and/or "914 Sam"

I did check the online folders (though not for the Elan...), but I didn't see any setups yet. Ahhh if only I knew the esoteric art of setup tuning. And I could drive

914 setup you should find in Road Atlanta online folder, can't remember doing one for the Elan as it's not something I've driven much, try Goodwood, Cadwell, Snetterton 64 or other classic UK track folders though, just in case, as they are tracks that were used for some "Festival" type events raced at GB simracing.
