Rules:
If you have not entered the server and driven a few laps with fellow drivers before we go to qually you are to late for that session. Please think of your fellow drivers get out on track with them watch how they drive,
you can't race with guys you have not seen drive.
WE all brake a little different and drive the corners different , get used to how they drive and then we can all race safer.
if you drop out of the server during qually you can return

This is being held in our Club, using Club Rules, and should be driven in that spirit.

In, please!
Out, please for now... Having mysterious random 10..15 FPS issues again, dumbed down all my settings already and my PC is idling basically but it won't go away this time:cry:
Don't wanna ruin anyone else's race by racing like this.
You all HF
I may try again for R2

Why when I practised with these cars in single player were they different somehow? I was posting 1 26's which is impossible. I swear I clicked on GT 1300 escort.

Not a bad race where I made a few silly mistakes and not enough practice, eventually got DQ'd for track cutting I think?! I had no idea I even had a drive through!

I feel setup makes a huge difference I have no idea where to start though. I don't find many on here either :(

i had a great time today. On first race the start was a bit stressfull since the car in front of me took a bit more to get of the line than i did, i went ok through turn 1 going into turn 2 a car spun in front of me and crossed the track but i was able to avoid it, on the hairpin i turned into the side of Richie Hill (i'm sorry, it wasn't intencional ), after that i had some small battles during the rest of the race, i ended up on 9th.
On race 2 i had a good start but started to fall behind, i was last and wasn't being able to reduce the gap to Allan and Dennys who were in front of me, but they made a mistake at the hairpin on lap 5, from that moment until lap 9 we were battling, but they were a bit faster than me so i was behind them, waiting for an oportunity to attack, which apeared on lap 9, at the last couple of corners before the back straigth, they touched and spun, i was able to pass them and get a gap big enough to amntain me in front during the last lap, which allowed me to finish in 7th. This second race was really nicem, even if i was behind Allan and Dennys for the most of the time it was really pleasant to be waitingfor an opportunity to attack

Congratulations top 3 and those who finishe, thank you for the race and see you next time :)

Hi Richie

Cheers for turning up tonight. You should have stayed for R2, it was a hoot.
Setup can make a big difference yes. The quick guys often post their setups in online files in GTL. All very sporting and extremely helpful.
I can't stress to you strongly enough how useful TeamSpeak is. If you have a headset (I'm using one I bought for £2) the software is free. The amount of hints, tips and help you'll get will improve your experience and help with the learning curve no end. It's a great laugh too.

If you have any questions or need any help just post in the appropriate thread on the forum and someone will be only too pleased to help.

Hope to see you next race.
Cheers

Had a great night of racing, but i could not match the quick times of Guus, Davy and Silvino but it was great fun trying,

the revs they keep in the corner is something to behold, if i try that i run wide and believe me ive tried it..
i cant keep the revs up and turn in.. great stuff guys

but that left me with good times with the rest of the gtl regulars. and a real healthy grid size for a Sunday night .. thanks guys make it seem all worth wile..
Even with the Speed of the front guys i still managed 1st place in race 1 as guss had a moment with a couple of laps to go and i sneaked through but race 2 we had Davy join us and he is quick and consistent, and as normal im a second behind a lap, the leaders set off and i had to come form 6th place on the grid got a great start and settled into 4th
with Steven hot on my heals, as the race went on Silvino lagged out with a real mad moment of lad form 2 cars nearly crashed trying to avoid the ghosts cars, then i was in 3rd 5th 3rd 4rth 3rd all in a couple of corners due to the lag..
i keep my cool and a few laps later Guus was spinning and i was in second with Guus right on my heals. I kept him at bay for a few laps before his speed got him by on the long back straight and i tried to stay with him to keep him honest for the last lap but if was a loosing battle ..

Congrats to me in the 1st race :D
congrats to Davy for 1str in race 2
Unlucky to Guus but im sure if he raced this sim all the time these little mistakes would not happen. but thanks for showing up and racing ..
Big thanks to all the guys that raced:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: and unlucky for the guys with lag issues and discos..:(
this track is good but i not the best for frame rate..:(

@Josh Morrell
hello as you can see from the other guys we use full real names when on the server, can you update your profile to show you full name please.

all you have to do is go into the userdata folder and change the folder with your driver name and inside that folder change the plr file name to your full name thanks. :)

I enjoyed our race last night and we also had a rather good turnout which made it more exciting. I must admit that I hadn't had much in the way of practice beforehand but I knew how the escort handled and I knew the track so I was relatively confident of being competitive.

Race one and after qualifying near the front I got off the grid well (avoiding the slow starters in front) but got swamped and passed on both sides dropping back to mid pack by the end of the first lap. Had a few great laps battling with @Silvino Rodrigues until he made it past me and disappeared into the distance. From then on it was a case of trying to claw my way back up the order so after passing @Josh Morrell and on the last lap managing to pass @Jacob Boonstra to take 7th. I wasn't very comfortable with the setup I had so that contributed to a mid pack finish.

Race 2 started with me 6th on the grid with an improved setup on the car. Feeling even more confident with the setup I got another good start and slotted into 5th behind @Rupe Wilson. I was able to stay with them for quite a few laps and then suddenly I saw him swerve to the right to avoid Silvino's car (which had stopped on the straight between turn 5 and 6 due to a disconnect ). This moved me up to 4th place and still keeping up with Rupe when a little further into the race @Guus Verver had a little accident and slotted back in just in front of me but I wasn't able to capitalise on it and he set off after Rupe so I just kept it on the track hoping that an opportunity would present itself with Rupe and Guus battling it out just a couple of seconds in front. Unfortnately this never happened and to top it off I suffered with a disconnect myself about a lap or 2 from the end. Gutted!

I didn't find out until after the second race that I was lagging quite badly all night and if I caused any problems for anyone then I apologise. I don't normally suffer from lag or bad ping and if I'd known earlier then I could have restarted my PC and router during second practice but hey ho. Nevermind. It's not about where you finish anyway, it's about the fun that you have competing against each other.

Lovely track, Nice car, good Turnout.. all set for a perfect racing night..:)
That is until my PC started acting up:mad:, dropping to 15FPS between P1 and Q1. Have had more of that lately and usually restarting the game fixes it. Not this time though:(. I tried to to a Qualy lap, but it was just dangerous so had to bail out at Q1 end.

Rebooted my game, disabled RunAff, dumbed down all graphics to LOW (except hires cockpit, cant drive without it:D) and tried my luck in session 2
That went a lot better, still way off my usual FPS but running a steady 45..50 FPS.. I Had a decent P2 and Q2 but was waaaay off the :alien::alien:'s pace, of which there were quite a few:laugh:
R2 was good fun. Managed to avoid any turmoil and settled in 6th behind the :alien::alien: who were slowly but surely getting away. First I was chased by Jacob, and later by Yves, whom I had a really nice battle with for a number of laps, all the way up to the last corner which I messed up quite badly and he got by me way too easy:redface:

Thanks all for racing, Grats to podium finishers and CYA soon!
