Talking Point: Is the WTCC in Big Trouble?

Who needs WTCC anyway, you can watch all that cool machinery racing across europe still in various race series, I am racing against ex V8 supercar, ex BTCC cars, and myself building a Volvo 850 Estate BTCC to race next year, plenty of cool racing out there, people just need to get off their arse and support it.

I know this may be slightly off topic what with most comments talking about the car regs and what not but someone did point out the nature of the tracks as well. To look at BTCC, there are few races that are boring and that goes for anywhere in the field. If you think they are cumbersome come watch a NASCAR road race...lol. I think the WTCC and to some extent, the TCR run on wide, boring GP style cicuits too often. Sanitized tracks that may work for WEC or F1 but not for touring cars. Also the WTCC cars (Citroen exempted) are proving to be too bloody fragile. Any side contact and the wheels are all askew.
