Steam patch download

Discussion in 'F1 2011 - The Game' started by Michael Sandee, Nov 24, 2011.

  1. This might be answered already but I couldn't find it, steam downloaded something and I assume it is the patch but do I have to install this or will this be done automatically ?

    Thanks for any input.
  2. It's all automatic with Steam, no need to do anything.
  3. To be sure the patch was installed, you can check the race distances available ingame. If 30%, 40% and 75% are there, v1.2 is running.

Yeah, usually what steam does is it downloads the update applies it and on the first time turning the game on with the patch it will show a message like "Installing GFWL" and other things like that required for the game to work. It should also show how much it downloaded in the downloads page of the steam client.

You can also remove the two .blob files in your steam folder. Then close the application and restart steam. You will be asked to login with your credentials (password etc). After that it will force a steam update so you are sure you have the latest version of your games running.
  6. Thats a pretty good tip

    thanks Bram
