lemansposter.jpgMotor AG Motorsport had the most amazing race at a wet and difficult Le Mans. Both their drivers, Michael Braeutigam and David Zafiu, had received penalties for not posting their driver line ups and got promoted to 25th and 26th on the grid. Dead last in other words. But the weather played in their ways as they were the only ones going for wet tyres right at the start despite the warm up lap being sunny and dry. But it soon changed and we all witnessed one of the, if not the best recovery in STC history.

Braeutigam managed, with a perfect one stop strategy, claw his way up to the lead and never let it go. He finished first with a healthy margin taking the teams first win in STC. Zafui had an almost as good race as his teammate and finished right off the podium in 4th.

RPM driver Peter Duivelaar, who started the race on pole, lost the lead to TBR's Gregory Degreef almost right away. The Black Rebels driver didn't hold it for very long though as Robin Johansson (Gubbklubben.se) then took it. He held it for quite som time in the difficult conditions but once the pitstios started he was promoted to 2nd. Both drivers then had an intence battle in the closing stages of the race seeing Duivelaar clinshing that 2nd place, just ahead off Johansson.

Gregory Degreef finished in 5th after having a long battle with last years Le Mans winner Mike Simian. They changed positions with each multiple times with Degreef winning the battle in the end. Jesper Taulborg in the second RPM car also recovered from a lesser starting position. He went from 18th to finish in 7th.

Torront Motorsports and its drivers finished 8th and 9th with Danny Asbury beating last weeks podium finisher Rickard Hellsten. Andreas Löffler (TBR) finished in 10th after a difficult race including hitting Gubbklubbens Bosse Jonasson hard. Both could continue despite heavy damage but the incident will most likely be a subject for the WAR system.
