Silverline Racing Official 2011 Launch
Mar 25, 2011

After weeks of anticipation, Silverline Racing has officially launched their 2011 challenger for the coming season. The brand new SL-11, in accordance to new regulations features a wider, lower front wing and a taller narrower, rear wing compared to it's predecessor. The noticeably fewer aerodynamic parts on the bodywork were an aim to reduce downforce. Designer Ben Ross commented, "It was a difficult challenge for the design team. We managed to recover a lot of downforce loss that came as a result to the rule changes".

Recent rumors suggest that one of Silverline Racing's partners are in negotiations with team ATR for a possible joint entry in FSR's World Championship Division. When asked, Head of Operations, Rizwan Sarwar was silent to comment before post. At a press event held during pre-season testing earlier in the year, he had commented "Of course every team has WC aspirations, but it is not in our immediate plans. But hey, you never know - As with during a race, things can change pretty fast".

The team line-up sports a good mix of experienced drivers and newcomers with Luka Oslakovic starting his first full FSR season with the Silverline Racing WS team alongside fellow newcomer Steffen Moller. Rizwan Sarwar will take the lead drive in SL's second team, Silverline Academy. Talented Lithuanian Benediktas Sinkevicius will partner Rizwan for the 2011 season.

For the World Trophy series, American Benjamin Chong retains his seat with Silverline Racing and partners FSR veteran Mihajlo Vicentijevic. Rounding up Silverline's second team is South African Jacques Olivier and rookie Ihab Abbas.

The team also boasts a strong test/reserve line up with the likes of Camilo Nino, Clayton Nelmes, Ben Ross and Gregg Lawson.
