Set custom resolution ingame

I race on my television and have to set a custom resolution in the NVidia control panel so that I can see the screen fully (slightly under scanned).
For some reason I can not select it within the game. Why is that? Is there a way to force the game to use my custom resolution?

Go in to C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\UserData
and open graphics_options.xml

Change the lines i show you in my pic with your custom res and refresh rate and save it
