F1 2011 See nothing in my mirrors

I was just wondering why i can not see the cars behind me through my mirrors? The car has to be really close for me to see him but thats just like 1 second and its gone. I have everything on max in my options but its like it doesnt show the cars behind me. Even at the start with all the cars bunched up, i dont see them.
Is this just me or is everyone experiencing the same thing?

As already confirmed the mirrors are hopeless!! I am on xbox and can confirm that they are exactly the same. Never use them to judge where cars are in relation to you just use the look back or rear view.... as bad as mirrors are in real F1 I bet they are a darn sight better then ours lol

i'm waiting to hear from the guy that was gonna mess with his hardware settings config to find mirror range...that might be the answer.
