Be aware of daylight saving which can be confusing. In 2012 it starts Sunday 25th of March and ends Sunday 28th of October. This may affect the time the race starts in your part of the world (if you do not live in Western Europe). If you are unsure, you can always look here to see what the time is in the UK (and in Presto-world).

Hi guys

Next season's calendar we can all participate to form. I will loop you into the proccess :) The first thing I do is to find out what real f1 races coincide in our normal schedule (jan/feb-may/june). Then I make a list of the track we typically race minus what we did last season, and end up with something like this:
Our schedule mashed with the real f1 calendar:

25th of January -
08th of February -
22nd of February -
07th of March -
21st of March – Australia (Melbourne)
04th of April* – Malaysia (Sepang)
18th of April – China (Shanghai/Jiading)
02nd of May* – Bahrain
16th of May - Spain (Barcelona)
30th of May – Monaco
14th of June - (Montreal**)

* 10 days after the real f1 event
**is there no way we can use this track?

Other tracks we have raced earlier, but not in season 7:
Imola
Istanbul
Magny-Cours
Nurburgring
Silverstone
Valencia
Watkins Glen

As you can see, I wrote down 11 dates, although there are only 10 races. Therefore the first or last date can be erased. I also took the liberty to move some races one week after the real f1 race to honour our 2 weeks brake rather than strictly following the rhythm of f1 (1 week brake followed by 3 weeks brake).
Nothing is fixed in the list, if everybody think one of the f1 tracks sucks, it can be swapped, but we do like to race the same event as the real guys 3 days after, don't we? :)

Enjoy your Christmas, and only participate here if you feel the urge to start planning next season. There is plenty of time :)

Hey guys hope you all had a great Christmas weekend. This is my suggestion, what do you think.

25th of January - Istanbul
08th of February - Magny-Cours
22nd of February -Watkins Glen
07th of March -Nurburgring
21st of March – Australia (Melbourne)
04th of April* – Malaysia (Sepang)
18th of April – China (Shanghai/Jiading)
02nd of May* – Bahrain
16th of May - Spain (Barcelona)
30th of May – Monaco

Also the rf2 open beta is out very soon, we can almost touch it, it will feature the F Renault 3.5

Are we wise to start too early when what could be the holy grail of sims is so soon upon us?

Not forgeting Simbin GTR3 but I think thats still far away yet and we'll need a good mod so that will take time

Jim

25th of January - Imola
08th of February - Istanbul
22nd of February - Silverstone
07th of March - Montreal??
21st of March – Australia (Melbourne)
04th of April* – Malaysia (Sepang)
18th of April – China (Shanghai/Jiading)
02nd of May* – Bahrain
16th of May - Spain (Barcelona)
30th of May – Monaco

For me the date is not important so start 25th January or 08th February its ok would like to run at Montreal one of my favorites (=

theres a problem with montreal i think helder, weve tried a few times to have it but im sure the mod maker doesnt give permission for it to be used in leagues so we've left it alone, or did we find another version we used im not entirely sure now? i too would like it if it were available.

Where is SIlverstone Kurt? :)

Are we able to construct the schedule so that there are no race the 8th of February (Jim's holiday)

This would be my list:
25th of January - Istanbul
08th of February - Silverstone (change this date?)
22nd of February - Nurburgring
07th of March - Imola (Montreal)
21st of March – Australia (Melbourne)
04th of April* – Malaysia (Sepang)
18th of April – China (Shanghai/Jiading)
02nd of May* – Bahrain
16th of May - Spain (Barcelona)
30th of May – Monaco

25th of January - Istanbul
15th of February - Silverstone
22nd of February - Nurburgring
07th of March - Montreal (preferably, but Imola if need be)
21st of March – Australia (Melbourne)
04th of April* – Malaysia (Sepang)
18th of April – China (Shanghai/Jiading)
02nd of May* – Bahrain
16th of May - Spain (Barcelona)
30th of May – Monaco

including date change for Jim.

I think David T's schedule look fine. It means we will have 1 week between round 2 and 3, but that is no problem for me at least.

If there are anybody else that know that they will be away on any of the planned dates, this is the time to let us know so that we have a fair chance to change the schedule to suit all.

I notice that Kurt had some track wishes that was different from the others responses, namely Watkins and Magny C instead of Silverstone and Imola. Am I right to assume (if we had done a vote) that at least Istanbul and Silverstone would easily fill 2 of the spots, while Nurburgring probably would fill the 3rd, and the 4th and last spot would be a close race between Magny/Imola/Watkins (assuming Montreal wouldn't work)?

Here is what I think we have so far (very similar to David T's):
25th of January - Istanbul
15th of February - Silverstone
22nd of February - Nurburgring
07th of March - Montreal/Imola/Magny/Watkins
21st of March – Australia (Melbourne)
04th of April* – Malaysia (Sepang)
18th of April – China (Shanghai/Jiading)
02nd of May* – Bahrain
16th of May - Spain (Barcelona)
30th of May – Monaco

id prefer a choice between imola and watkins if montreal isnt available, only based on the fact weve raced both before with f1 cars, we all know what to expect, and will have setups handy as a base for our practises.

1. Montreal
2. Imola
3. Watkins

would be my prefered choice.

The watkins race was completely wet, so I'm very curious how it would be like in dry conditions. I remember the field was very close together - always a good base for some action...

Im ok for any decision.

Jim u come here at SESTRIERES for ski there are beautiful slope and there is a nice road for go there 30km of turns if u like I can carry up, Torino Sestriere 1h 10' bring your helmet because I will drive there:D.
