Season 14 Race 5 Monaco - Practice race(s)?

I too think we need damage ! If not anybody won't be afraid and shamed to run the outiside on Massenet, spinning, touching the wall, go back on track without any damage.
Or in a tighter corner like Loews: imagine, I would be able to run the outside wiht much more speed, run along the barrier, make the car jump and maybe overtake 3 people in the first lap, without damage ? :roflmao:

I agree we need damage, what is server set at the now ? I had a few small bumps spins and car still had fwing and stuff so thought it was ok.
Obviously if you make contact full speed or clipping the many small protrusions from barriers/kerbs.

I think like we thought the 2x is probably going to be enough, anyone who tried to complete the race would surely be risking a difficult car to drive at end of race and possible 0%s.

So if mandatory stops anyway, if you can manage tires better you still get advantage with a wider pit window. Normally so far we are all stopping within a lap or 2, this might be a small advantage of less tire wear tracks where we chose different times to stop eg: pitting early, late or even last few laps.

Like Sean I think 50% damage is fine but I'm willing to drop it slightly if there's enough folk think its the better idea.

I think x2 tonight is perfect Peter, we can then see the wear percentage in a race type situation, it may be slightly more if your racing close with someone, I think the pit enforcement at Monaco is a good compromise though.

Good practise tonight guys

What I found is that with x3 wear its still a bit high and I'd be fairly certain nobody could complete a full 60 minutes with x2 at any decent race pace, I'm undecided about what I think we should have on race day but I feel leaving it as is would be worth thinking about (at x2 I mean)

Damage for me is too low at 30%, I was able to have some Max Verstappen type crashes and the car felt fine, Obviously we dont want massive DNF rate but I think 50% is the best we can get while still keeping it sort of realistic damage.

Like Martin, (if not more so), I'm way way off the pace, and more importantly I'd hate to cause problems to the leaders under the numerous blue flags that I'd get and destroy the championship hopes of somebody. Respect to you all is due - i don't know how you do it. I love the circuit with virtually all mods, but I still cant get my head around the handling characteristics of the car - especially here.

It's a tough track, I'm not sure anyone has it figured out. I've put 150+ laps into just trying to make Massenet-Casino safer, and I still haven't really found a definite solution.

Normally I'm quite greedy on race starts, trying to find at least 1 position with my manual clutch starts. I'll most likely be resisting that temptation here for once. :p
