The team over at SCS Software remain hard at work developing American and European Truck Simulator, with details of a new licence and map expansion recently revealed.

Firstly the map expansion. Coming to their most recent hauling sims American Truck Simulator, SCS have teased the committed trucking community with some early screenshots of an as yet unrevealed new location coming in the near future. Now we know that Oregon is right around the corner for a release, however it appears as if the developers have been hard at it to bring yet another expansion to the large game world, rapidly working towards realising a sizable playing area for the American version of the popular truck simulation series of games.

Can any of our knowledgeable community hazard a guess as to where the new expansion is located? Check out the screens below:

Moving away from map expansions for a while, SCS have also confirmed the signing of a new licence for the game in the form of KRONE trailers. Coming to European Truck Simulator 2 in the near future, KRONE are a long standing German based company that specialises in quality built trucking haulage trailers and services.

Although not really exciting news to those outside of the immediate ATS / ETS 2 universe, the deal to bring yet more officially licenced content to European Truck Simulator 2 is another positive step towards further fleshing out the already substantial gameplay on offer, and potentially provides some interesting opportunities to bring unique and gameplay influencing variants to this challenging title.

To get you in the mood for some trailer action, check out this short documentary video from SCS when they visited the KRONE factory recently on a fact finding expedition:

American Truck Simulator and European Truck Sim 2 are both available from the Steam network for PC.

The screenshot with seaside looks very much like our Primorskoye Highway:

And it has that pedesrian/bike road on the side. The IRL one is a bit more curved though.
Or the road to Ladoga Lake station:

But that one is missing some facilities.. altho the nature looks closer.
The poles on screenshots though are too european, we have just a solid concrete ones.
So I guess it's Russia/Finland/Baltic DLC
