  4. Well, I'm in.

By the time this event occurs I should have had a few laps of experience from the race on the EU server.

Riverside! I feel like I live there after the many races there this week.

Leif, nothing beats time on the track in a race. You get to try that little bit harder.

    Server is up!
  7. I'll race if there are more than 3 people signed up or committed for tomorrow. I'd much rather race this one than the otehr one on my calendar, but the other race has over 10 entrants. Ass much as I love you guys and I love racing this club, I would make the forth driver and I'd really like to have more participants.

Yves, what can we do to increase attendance? I have sometimes posted on NoGrip and the Simbin forum and it netted a few more drivers, but I can't always go post there. I'd really like to see more drivers though so maybe this one time I will post there again. I also absolutely love this mod.

How about an ad for the entire club on the RD front page. Something noticeable? (jut trying to be helpful)
  8. How touching,LOL

I am getting roughly the same times with these cars as I did with yesterdays CSR320 cars, same track of course. Is that bad or what?
  9. I need a new keyboard. (and probably new fingers too)
  10. Only two others showed up, both alot faster than me. I pulled out as it doesn't seem much of a race with only two opponents :frown: Maybe because it is a holiday weekend here in the States.
  11. My internet went out just as we were qualifying! And there I was shooting for a top 5 placement.

Sorry guys, I actually called comcast business and read them the riot act and turned out to be just a 5 minute outage (last week they cut it off for good by mistake because I terminated my Home Cable and they cut off biz internet in the bargain. I wasn't pleased).

Anyway, I am sorry, it was actually a lot of fun to nascar the mustang at Riverside. Old fashioned track for sure.
  12. ..and I decided 2 hours before the race to re-install new Nvidia drivers. Fool I am! I have tried before with Nvidia's scan PC technique and it messed my system up then. By the time I had reloaded my Mirror copy back on the time was 20 minutes past the race start. I did visit the server listing but saw that no one was on.

Stuart, I think you did a disfavor to yourself. I think you would have had fun, company too, as I and I don't think Yves really likes to just go out and run alone. I'm saying that for a field that size[3] a drive together on the track can be more fun than a cut-throat race and that it does happen. The finishes could have been closer than you expected and fun too.
  14. I really feel bad that with an already small field I crashed out of the race. It turned out that Comcast cut my internet twice last week because I terminated my cable TV and even though I have the business line with them (unrelated to the cable TV contract) they managed twice to cut the actual cable. I was furious. Unfortunately, I do have a way to restore internet by using my mobile phone, but it's not fast enough to run the sim on it. I have 4G and I have never tried, but I assume it is too slow.

In any case, I wanted to suggest running this mod again in the future because it is really a lot of fun and I was wondering if there is anything we can do to increase participation.

Yves, do you have any ideas? I'd be happy to help any way I can. I could write articles for RD, post on other forums, anything that you think may help inform folks these races are being held. I think we should be able to rack up at least 10+ drivers each race, especially if we have only 2 to 4 races a week. The time is perfect for both US coasts (at least it's perfect for me on the west coast) and the sim/mod/tracks is a lot of fun.

What do you guys think we could do? I may post again in the general forum to get more ideas. As I said above, I can volunteer to produce some material to help the cause.
