    Penalties and Appeals

league regulations. In addition, the league rules, the racing rules of this website www.racedepartment.com apply here as well, and will preempt the league rules when the two conflict. They are incorporated by reference.

This league wants to make clear that incident reports, while unfortunate, are expected, and no discrimination shall be taken against drivers that file such incident reports. *Discrimination* shall be defined at the discretion of the league officials, if needed. Actions that shall include discrimination are, but are not limited to, retaliatory actions against the complainant, and actions, retaliatory or not, which are meant to discourage incident reports to the league.

More importantly, the over-arching purpose here is to have fun, and the responsibility of our work here centers on freedom. No thought police will troll this forum, and we all can joke like adults without taking offense unless threatening violence or defamatory.

I've been running all my recent practice races on strict. What problems are you finding on normal here Karl?

Blatant cuts through the esses (T7-T11) are not penalized unless you run over grass i think, and there's very little grass through there...it's mostly run off area. It's so easy to get the line wrong through that section and wind up off the circuit, and apparently if you do you can keep your foot to the floor and rejoin without any issues penalty-wise.

So, for the drivers in Canada and the US this race will start at 5pm Eastern. Europe's clocks go back this weekend but ours don't change until next weekend.

Well, we can all either learn how to exploit the game, or play by the rules.

I try to cover myself with video. Another way to double check whether someone gained an advantage is to look at everyone's lap times. Something lower than pole should not appear. Or wild swings from high to low.

I'm not really too worried about it to be honest. I'm not sure you can gain that much time through the esses by cutting. You can recover the time that you lose from not following the proper line through there, so there is an advantage in it, but i don't think it will be evident from the lap times....

The biggest problem here is that there's one line and one line only, you get off that line and 90% of the time you don't have a choice but to cut a corner otherwise you're gonna understeer well off the track anyway or get snapped out into a wall, it's 100% quicker to get it right. In my opinion anyway.

Drivers in F1 (except the older ones) have lost the ability to pass in high speed sections due to track design. There is an art to passing someone in the esses and it's breathtaking when done right. This track used to be flat, but tons of fun because of those esses and the slingshot around the back of the stadium. CHAMP car came here often. There is no better example of how F1 ruins tracks.

It's not that bad. Just drive sensibly and just remember the rules of F1 all 4 wheels off the track and back off otherwise your a c**t

Do you Twitch your videos? Anyone who doesn't has no say so in the matter. Rules of F1? Back off? lol. F1 has no rules...just overlords. So, I'll follow the rules of racing instead. Don't do anything intentional, avoid going off because it may slow you, but if it does not, keep your foot in the gas. :coffee:
