Race Points

Paul Boon has taken round number 5 of the 2012 FSR Fantasy League with his lobotm slow ducks team, consisting of dominant winner Morgan Morand, together with Patrick De Wit, Blair Disley and Giuseppe Marconi. Paul's score, 102 points, is the new round-winning score record for the FSR Fantasy League. Czech manager Ondrej Kuncman was 2nd with 94 points, while Argentinian Nicolas Gschwind completed the Top 3 with 92 points, same score as 4th-placed Matteo Cabri. Bono Huis' absence has shaken the field up, with many managers opting for last-minute transfers and swaps and those who have picked Morand climbing to the top positions.

For the first time since the opening round, we have a new championship leader. Nicolas Gschwind is now at the top of the standings with 407 points, in the quest for the Thrustmaster T-Wireless 3 in 1 Rumble Force Gamepad. Ondrej Kuncman took 2nd with 375 points. Former leader Simon Adebisi had a disastrous round, placing 71st with only 7 points, dropping to 3rd on the standings with 330 points. His 8-point lead after the previous round became a 77-points defecit to the leader. Things can turn around very quickly in the FSR Fantasy League!

Joining Simon Adebisi (2x), John-Eric Saxen and Andrew Smith, Paul Boon is now the latest contender for the Thrustmaster Dual Trigger 3 in 1 Rumble Force Gamepad that a round winner will take home at the end of the season.

With Bono Huis not taking part of the race, Morgan Morand took advantage of the chance and delivered a dominant performance. He became the first driver to score a perfect 62 points, becoming the first man to take a Grand Slam by not only claiming the hattrick but also leading every single lap of the GP. Podium finishers Rasmus Tali and Jack Keithley were tied for 2nd place as the round's top scorers with 22 points each.

Drivers' market costs were updated. Jack Keithey (+400$), Petar Brljak (+400$) and Blair Disley (+400$) were the drivers who climbed the costs ladder the most. Remember that the drivers that you already have on your team will continue to cost you what they did when you included them on your lineup.

If you are proud of your result on the fifth round of the FSR Fantasy League, remember you can share your achievements with your Facebook friends and Twitter followers by pressing the Facebook/Twitter icons in your My Team page!

The sixth round of the FSR Fantasy League will be the Belgian GP on August 12th, which is as soon as next weekend! The Spa-Francorchamps round will end the first half of the 2012 FSR Fantasy League. Remember to perform the driver transfers and swaps you need to become the next round winner!
