    Weekday Championship - Season 1
    Round 6: Monaco Grand Prix
    Date: Tuesday 1st November 2016
    Time: 8:00PM BST

    Current WDC Leader: Mitchell Haverlag
Current WCC Leader: Red Bull-TAG Heuer
FIA Pole Trophy: Mitchell Haverlag (3)*
DHL Fastest Lap Award: Simeon Lynch (4)*
    Preview
We head to one of the most iconic circuits on the calendar, in between the tight streets of Monte Carlo. A track that demands incredible commitment and precision will expose the fake from the real, the good from the great.

Simeon Lynch's championship rivals will be coming into this race with incredible confidence as Lynch has now not scored points in 2 races, which now means the ever consistent Mitchell Haverlag is now the championship leader. With Saif Mehmood returning to form and Mikey Woolford always in the mix, two Monaco specialists, it may be a tough ask for Lynch to even make the podium. Chaos is always expected in Monaco, whether it'll be the traffic in qualifying, the crashes, the safety cars, or even some rain to mix it all up.

The Spanish GP was a perfect example of a tactical grand prix, with a great mix of strategies in the top 10, especially at the front where the 3 podium finishers used 1-3 stops and were split by 11 seconds at the end, with the 2 stop being the race winning strategy. The race saw the return to the grid of one of the veterans, Jamie Mayers who managed to drive a superb race on his return and hold off pressure from Mehmood and Woolford to secure a 2nd place finish, only a few seconds away from the victory.
    This Week's Announcements:
    - Formation lap will continue to be OFF until further notice.

    - Qualifying: I advise you all to take extra pre-caution when being on an out-lap or cool down lap during qualifying, traffic will be a big issue with this large grid.
    - Selecting Car/Driver:
When you enter the lobby and go to select your car, please make sure you note down the driver you select and select that driver each week so we know who you are in case of a DNF, also, to use your career mode helmet and number press square in the selection menu.

    - If you can't attend:
If you cannot make the race, please let us know as early as possible so we can assign reserve drivers to the race, thanks!

    - Reserve Drivers:
If you are a reserve driver and you want to take part, please do let us know by answering the questions in this thread and we will try to fit you in.

    Questions to drivers?
    Will you be attending?
    Who will be on pole?

Who do you think holds the mental advantage in the drivers championship?
Do you think the title race will go down to the final race?

  2. Questions to drivers?
Will you be attending?: There may be a chance I can't make it but I'll go with the assumption that I'll be there.
Who will be on pole?: Me
1st, 2nd and 3rd?: Mikey, myself and Karl
Who who will score the surprise result of the race?: Lynchy, by not being on the podium
Is Monaco a track you look forward to or dread coming to?: Love the track, I always love finding a rhythm here.
Who do you think holds the mental advantage in the drivers championship?: I still think Lynchy does due to his pace advantage in the first few races but it's definitely opening up.
Do you think the title race will go down to the final race?: Yes

    - Saif Mehmood: You finally finished on the podium after 5 races, how does it feel to get that monkey off your back?:
I felt it was coming, all I have to do now is focus on each race as it comes and see if I can throw myself back into the championship mix.

Is Monaco a track you look forward to or dread coming to? 100% Dread

    Questions to drivers?
    Will you be attending? Yes
Who will be on pole? Lynchy
1st, 2nd and 3rd? Mikey, Mitchell and Saif
Who who will score the surprise result of the race? Ash by actually turning up.
Is Monaco a track you look forward to or dread coming to? Both
Who do you think holds the mental advantage in the drivers championship? I'd say Mitchell, since Lynchy has thrown a fit the last two races.
Do you think the title race will go down to the final race? Probably not.

    - Jamie Mayers: What a return to the grid, tell us how you feel after everything that happened in Spain? I'm still abit shocked with it all, really wasn't expecting to come straight out the box with a podium but I feel if I keep my head down I can get a few more this season. When I crossed the line at the end, I spent the next 5 to 10 minutes laughing cause I had serious doubts in myself that I now see was unwarranted. Now onto Monaco!

  5. go **** yourself, I've been at every race bar one m8!

  6. Will you be attending? Yes
Who will be on pole? Lynchy
    1st, 2nd and 3rd? Mikey, Saif, Mitchell
Who who will score the surprise result of the race? Andrew
Is Monaco a track you look forward to or dread coming to? It is usually a track I'm fast at so looking forward to it. I think the backmackers are going to have a huge influence...fingers crossed!
Who do you think holds the mental advantage in the drivers championship? Mikey, eventhough he had some bad luck, he is always up there.
Do you think the title race will go down to the final race? Yes I hope so!

    Questions to individual drivers?
    - Mitchell Haverlag: 2 wins in a row for you now and the championship lead, do you feel we are still to see the best of you? I feel like I'm learning every race. It had been a while I did some league racing so to come here and be up there with the fast guys is really good to see. That being said the championship is still long and there is much more room for improvement. I expect more from other fast drivers so it will be a tough but exciting season!

  7. Questions to drivers?
Will you be attending? Yes - probably up until turn 1
Who will be on pole? Not sure, maybe mikey.
    1st, 2nd and 3rd? Saif, mikey, lynchy
Who who will score the surprise result of the race? me by not wiping out on T1
Is Monaco a track you look forward to or dread coming to? 100% Dread
Who do you think holds the mental advantage in the drivers championship? No such thing as a mental advantage, things can turn so easily with a simple disconnect so all the top 3-4 will be equally shitting themselves

  8. Will you be attending? No idea
Who will be on pole? Whoever doesn't get blocked during quali.
    1st, 2nd and 3rd? Maybe me 1st*, Mitchell 2nd, Mikey 3rd
Who who will score the surprise result of the race? Saif by not crashing
Is Monaco a track you look forward to or dread coming to? S'ok i guess
Who do you think holds the mental advantage in the drivers championship? Me*
Do you think the title race will go down to the final race? Could do, who knows?

    *Amended due to potential backlash

  9. Will you be attending? Of course
Who will be on pole? Possibly me!
1st, 2nd and 3rd? Mitchell for the hat trick, Saif, and Mikey
Who who will score the surprise result of the race? Ash
Is Monaco a track you look forward to or dread coming to? I look forward to it because I think it showcases my consistent pace and I generally finish well around here by keeping my front wing intact.
Who do you think holds the mental advantage in the drivers championship? I would say Mitchell's got that advantage at the moment. Lynch can just usually show up without much practice and smash us all but Mitchell answered him this past week at Spain by pretty much doing exactly that.
Do you think the title race will go down to the final race? If Lynchy continues to win the next few races, then probably not. It's a difficult question to answer really because simply staying interested in this league for the whole championship is a task in itself. Anyone's guess really but I hope not.

  11. You and a few others cba to answer any questions that Saif takes the time to think up and I don't really get why.

Don't mean to sound like a whiner but there are only about a 1/3rd of us around here who are actively trying to make this a community and it's rather disappointing when some of you just show up without interaction. No pre race buildup, no race reports. This is not what the WC is about.

    I'll call out the others too ... @area4 @DaMsKoNL @Bryan Burgemeestre @Graham Jarvis @Mattias Johansen what gives?

  14. Times precious. I take time to put my name down & put a video up which is more than most. If it ain't good enough I'll take my racing elsewhere

You should be more arsed about start procedures than stupid question that I care fcuk all about.

If the interactions were anything other than obnoxious tit for tat I would engage but it ain't

  15. Questions to drivers?
Will you be attending?: Nope, I am working :(
Who will be on pole?: Mikey
    1st, 2nd and 3rd?: Mikey, Saif, Mitchell
Who who will score the surprise result of the race?: Anybody who doesn't crash
Is Monaco a track you look forward to or dread coming to?: Love the track, but always DNF (shock)
Who do you think holds the mental advantage in the drivers championship?: No idea
Do you think the title race will go down to the final race?: Yes

  16. The questions are an optional level of engagement for drivers but the minimum I ask of everyone is let us know about their attendance so I have no issues with anyone not answering the questions, but it is good sometimes to hear people's opinions, that's why we ask them.

  17. Will you be attending? Sorry lads, again I can't make it as I have other things I have to attent to.. thats why I voted for mondays..
Who will be on pole? Mikey
1st, 2nd and 3rd? Mikey, Saif and Andrew
Who who will score the surprise result of the race? Lynchy and Mitchell by not finishing, they will have a crash together.
Is Monaco a track you look forward to or dread coming to? I won here many times in other leagues in 100% races due to consistancy and keeping it clean, gutted I can't join this time.
Who do you think holds the mental advantage in the drivers championship? Lynchy, there is something about his pace that we can't have an answer to.
Do you think the title race will go down to the finalrace? No, if someone has a good streak (like Mitchell had the last races) it can change the tables up side down, but I expect someone to be up front every race as the season progresses.

Enjoy your races, I will be there again after Monaco.

Is Monaco a track you look forward to or dread coming to?
Well since we get none of the yachts and all of the crashes, I have to say dread.
Who do you think holds the mental advantage in the drivers championship?
Saif, because he has no pressure on him.
Do you think the title race will go down to the final race?
That would make the season more interesting, especially for us guys that are not involved.
