I disagree with this. At my jump start I used the launch control. The rules say nowhere, that I have to use Launch control again, if I stop the car after I already started with Launch control.
If I`m wrong please show me the rule.

Verdict: 1.25 SR for Georg Winter.

And to this: Next time I will mount offroad tyres and go all the way back to pit over the grass. Only for you ;)

And if you look serious at it... I dont return to track. I`m already back on track after the spin. Next time I will stop on the racing line and wait till someone crash into me ;)

I remind you that the moments before the lights turn off aren't part of the race distance. So technically you never used the Launch Control during the race.

Technically it is, since his race started a few seconds before the lights went out.

He even got a penalty IN the race for it. How can one get a penalty for something IN the race if it happened BEFORE the race, but AFTER qualifying?

Then if he had wheelspin and he crashes into other players everybody would be raging against him for not using the LC.

Im still amazed how can you even discuss that

Well some people use TC override, which can be considered equally dangerous. I don't see anybody ever being penalised for that.

The difference its quite obvious. TC Override is legal an half dangerous.

It's really equally dangerous. And I'm sure if I pull away in 3rd gear, which won't be nearly as dangerous as the aforementioned options, I would be penalised, since I didn't use LC in that case.

I firmly feel that the LC/TC Override rules need a bit of looking at, and refinement. ;)

Engaging LC again in the case of false start takes time, 1.5 sec at least (you have to stop, put neutral, engage LC and push throttle). I think in the end Winter made right decision, because had he delayed that further more this could have become another dreadful start just like in WC and Ace. Props for not spinning out on cold tires.

By the way, I believe Partington made false start in Indy, so technically he did not used LC after lights went out. I think he received no warning in Post-race checks after that.

Maybe cause I got a drive through penalty for a jump start. Yeah Georg made a mistake, I know how easy it is to slip on the LC button and I have changed the way I push it because of that mistake. The warning is rather meaningless come last race of season anyway unless he does the same thing again here whch I doubt will happen.
