I tried to generate a new AI line because I think the one we have is a bit too slow in some fast corners but when the cars drive along the start-finish-straight there is chaos and they slow down or try to drive ziczag. With the AI editor enabled I see that there are some red lines nearly on the complete straight, perhaps these are pit areas and the AI thinks it pits? I can't tell. Can you tell what causes this issue? On the rest of the track they're fine now, it's just the start-finish-straight.

I am not very firm with the AI editor that's why I'm asking.
No idea, maybe the road surfaces, or how kunos desgned the ai to work, i certantly do not care about the ai, so i don't know

Is there any AI update available for this track?
Currently the AI is not competitive, posting unrealistic times (comparing GT3 cars with 2016 IMSA time tables) and the AI does some very strange things (for example moving in very strange ways on the long straight between T2 and T3 among others).

I would love to do some AI practice races but it is not really enjoyable with the current AI on the v3.4 track.

Also I would love to see alternative textures - we all like the ACRL but I 'd rather have realistic IMSA event textures - is there a mod anyone can recommend?
 
you guys are asking for a complete remodeling of the tarmac surface wich is basicly starting fron scratch, and that's not gonna happen.
Because just adding polygons doesnt do anything other than taking fps down,
If you take a plane and divide it into 10 more polygon the actual shape of the plane doesnt change.
Do you understand?

If you don't like this mod do not download it, its a fairly simple thing to do, meanwhile me and others will enjoy this track ;)
You could do a very simple 3D-Max import and use Tesselate to smoothen and double the polycount.
 
what update do you need? don't think there's any need for update

Please see below. i updated a few things for a myself to make this place a little more fun to drive, i ended up going a little crazy, i also fixed the audio, most of the mirrored tress with new textures, sections ini. new track boundaries for the Ai, fixed groove uuv mapping etc etc

let me know if you like i will send over so you can update, if not no mind i will enjoy for myself

It had some performance issues too if I remember correctly.
