Once in a blue moon, the world witnesses a truly breathtaking moment in sport. Ali vs Frazier, Jack Nicklaus’ 1986 US Masters comeback and David Beckham’s last-gasp free kick against Greece are among the greatest we’ve ever seen. In a motorsport context, it doesn’t get any more special than the incredible battle between Gilles Villeneuve and Rene Arnoux in the 1979 French Grand Prix.

Proper racing in proper race cars, full on drifts, opposite lock. We see glimpses of this now, but nothing like the good old days.
Just watching this stuff made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.
 
From the time that you could literally touch the drivers! Truly one of the most heroic seasons of Formula 1.

Love that Dr Seuss quote as well, will write that one down.
 
Can watch that duel many times without getting bored. I wish i could catch those times.
