Reiza Studios releases preview of new physics for GSCE

Reiza Studios has released a video showcasing some of the coming developments for Game Stock Car Extreme v1.25 and later.

Such developments include a new tyre model with flatspotting dirt pickup and visible flex under load and bodywork such as front and rear wing flex and vibration.

Also under development is more advanced drivetrain physics, including remaining ERS functionalities for the F-Extreme, turbo modelling & realistic transmission.

Tried the demo of this and I'm not sure. I'm loving rfactor 2 and assetto corsa at the mo so not sure if to take the plunge.

How much is it with the premium account?

Having both GSCE and AC, I surely would recommend getting this. Big plus is the availability of mods available. Now only if I can get used to setting up FFB properly, as I'm relatively new to sims. But if you've been using rF2 for a while, then you might feel at home with GSCE too.

I've never got on with RF1 or 2, for various reasons.
Somehow GSCE has managed to either overcome or build around those issues.
Feels so different to how rf1 & 2 feel to drive (to me at least) it feels like a different game.
Which I guess is testament to the great job done by Reiza.

While I know not everyone has the driving wheel displayed to me this is the key graphical issue with GSCE. Simbin put animated driver arms in way back with GT Legends. LFS, AC, iRacing, rF2, pCARs and R3E all have animated driver arms. Clearly I am not the only one who values driver arms. As we enter the new world of Oculus Rift - even those who currently prefer to look at their own arms and wheel will not have that option.

You forgot to put Rfactor 1 on the list. There are RF1 mods using animated driver arms.

Those aren't animated arms, they are simply attached to the steering wheel. But 0 animation.

With the changes Reiza are making, I hope the guys who think it's "Updated rFactor" think again. This is a one of a kind game and getting better. Who knows what these guys will come up with next? Nothing is impossible. Old engine or not, THIS engine gets newer with each update! Bang for buck......THE BEST.

Yep me too but than i have to turnon HUD on cars with dashboard on wheel..which I don't fancy at all

In any case that fake animation can be done in GSC too, since it's using the same engine as rF1. But as you might know, it looks bloody ridiculous if you have to steer more than 150deg or so...

Well, if they move they are animated.

The steering wheel is animated the arms are not, they are just like 2 pegs that are apart of the steering wheel, GTR2 and AC are what animated arms look like.
