Reiza Studios have deployed a small hotfix update to their Automobilista title addressing a number of minor issues revealed since the game update to build 1.2.0 at the end of December.

The new hotfix patch delivers several fixes to some audio issued experience by a number of users since the previous update, as well as a number of more minor amendments and adjustments to the core game. It is particularly nice to see the studio have now split the Rallycross Lancer and new F-Dirt machines for VX classifications as well as developing a new tyre model and community driver names added to the AI for these cars.

The full build 1.2.1 Hotfix Changelog can be read below:
    • Fixed various sound effect issues introduced in last build & fine tuned volume balancing of several effects in various cars
    • Development of fog in shaders - fog density and distance now varies based on if user is looking at the sun or not
    • Adjusted surface properties for all dirt tracks to minimize issues with FFB rattling
    • Goiania: Fixed Short FTruck crash; minor texture updates
    • Cadwell Park: Fixed terrain issue in upper park
    • Removed exhaust smoke entries from FC Truck which had been accidentaly left in (will be added back when effects are finalized)
    • Combined all F-Truck into the same class for VX classifications & split F-Dirt from Lancer X for the same purpose
    • Karts: Added auto-clutch for direct drive karts; Adjusted tire slip curves; Callibrated AI for all kart series for better performance & hopefully fixed issue with karts occasionally tumbling over curbs
    • Ultima GTR: Revised undertray aero for all versions & minor tire tweaks
    • F-3: Minor tire adjustments
    • F-Dirt: Revised tire model; Added community drivers; Fixed TV cameras

Automobilista is available for PC now via Steam. Additional DLC packages can be purchased separately or come at no additional cost to 'Season Pass' owners.

I believe they mentioned all content developed for AMS would be included in their future title.

  8. The Ultima GTR (Road 720 at least) physics changes are great. Default setup now feels exactly like my base setup with the old physics. These guys never quit. Love it.

My thoughts exactly. They are simply amazing at Reiza. A great great sim just keeps getting better, almost by the hour. Love it too.

well they only have 11 months and 20 days left to make some anouncement about EA, Alpha, Beta or whatever ... no chance anyone could make it in this short time .. given that they only have physics, content, features and game mechanics baseline ready ... :) but sure anything could happend ... looks like they are extending AMS beyond original intent .. perhaps in some of next roadmap blogs we`ll get some hits about how it is gonna happend

  13. Imo, Reiza is just waiting for Studio 397 DX11 engine to be ready/released so, "Reiza 2017" is still possible in current year. Like i said before, i wouldn't be surprised if Reiza and Studio 397 have a deal, between them, for the new engine. When ready, then it's just a matter of "porting" AMS to DX11, and keep adding, and tweaking, content, for the new Reiza game...

I am amazed by how little the AMS community needs to be happy (in a good way) while on the other hand the AC guys are just never satisfied.
I will be watching you until the VR gets patched in :p

Many of the same people play both. :) I think the reactions are different because people perhaps feel that AMS is a more 'complete' sim that just requires a bit of tweaking, whereas some parts of AC feel quite incomplete or, dare I say, non-existent.

probaby based on Reizas connection to Luminis which is basicaly Studio 397 (resp S397 is part of Luminis) .. and they are gona modernize graphic engine for rF2 so there might be some chance that Reiza will make deal with them and licence that engine .. nothing confirmed :) but it would make a sense somehow
