You don't miss a lot, honestly.
No Beta this month and most of the time it's pretty silent in there.

Well, except of course that big thing that will hit the news in the next days and some screenshots yesterday :D

Not quite educated about this campaign but one question I have: will the independent "next gen" title (not automobilista) be based off rfactor 2 source code? Or will it be based off rf1? Thanks

As far as I know it'll be based on rf1 code but heavily modified (as many other sims are) because Reiza purchased the source code. Everything done in SCE before very recent updates was done without it.

    rF2's engine isn't a completely new engine.
It's not like they licensed Unreal Engine 4, it's "just" an improved isiMotor engine.
    See here: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/1164-rFactor-2-to-use-gMotor-3?p=14580&viewfull=1#post14580

As Reiza licensed isiMotor2 (to my understanding) and evolved it, it's basically the same thing ISI did, just that the Reiza guys aren't ISI, but Reiza ;)

Yes, they do things differently, but it's not like magic code just injects itself in your code ;)
It's humans writing procedures, functions, routines, classes and god knows what to add what needs to be added.

So, no, they will not license isiMotor2.5, but they will sort of build their own isiMotor2.5 ;)
