Why do you ask? Are you getting low frame rates whilst recording?

Actually, large framedrops on replays are common for me, and makes it impossible to record...

You need to record to a second drive that's at least 7200rpm to not get any significant lag or FPS drop.

And that's what I've got. A 7200rpm hdd, two of them. And a SSD, so that shouldn't be the problem

Fraps is actually very good, you just need quite a good PC due to the way it records. I prefer Fraps myself, but I have tried dxtory, and one very good point to it is that I don't get any FPS drop.

With that system spec you should not have any slow downs at all, if you are having slow downs something is very wrong ..!

Yup, only when recording replays though. As one might see on my rF2 vids, no problems there at all!
So, I have no idea why it is this way.
