Round 2 - Montreal.jpg Home of the Canadian Grand Prix, a tight track with unforgiving walls, the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is all about being the last of the late brakers and being slippery in a straight line.

    General Information
    Date: Saturday 19th March 2016
    Server name: RACEDEPARTMENT.COM RDTCC
    Start time: 18:30 GMT
    Skin Pack: DOWNLOAD

    Pit Lane Exit:

The exit of the pit lane at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve feeds out onto the outside of Turn 2. There is a white line that feeds you back onto the racing line (highlighted blue). Crossing this white line is prohibited, and doing so during Qualifying and the race will result in an immediate 10 second penalty.

    Turn 7

The apex of turn 7 provides a wide area for drivers to potentially cut the apex of the corner. Drivers must ensure that they have two wheels inside the race track at all times.

    Turns 12 & 13 (Final chicane)
Curb hopping to carry maximum speed at this chicane is very easy (and tempting) to do, however drivers must make sure that they are not attacking the chicane with such ferocity that they then exceed track limits. Excessive breaches of these limits will result in a penalty outlined in the Stewards Notice Board. Below is a correct example of the tolerated line.
    2016-03-06_00003.jpg 2016-03-06_00004.jpg

Using the escape road and rejoining the track after Turns 12 & 13

If for any reason you cannot take the T12/13 chicane properly and need to take to the run-off area, you must rejoin the track in as safe a manner as possible. This means that you must use the designated re-entry lane (marked out by cones) to rejoin the track. If a driver does not use this escape road properly and re-enters the track in an unsafe manner (thus breaking Article 6.8), the driver will face a penalty.

I assume on pit exit to not cross the line with any wheels, correct?

After the iRacing V8SCOPS race I hope that this car handles the last chicane better than iRacing. 4 hours to prequally for a race wasn't fun

Its the grip that was the problem. It was the way the car handled the curbs. it would bounce awkwardly and there was no way to stop it in the setup

Hmm seemed the servers we opened after round 1 where accidentally closed. They are both up and running again. Will send out a new password round 2 via conversation message.

I assume that rule 6:1 also applies at turn 1 with the kerb on the inside?

Yes. It applies everywhere, however we'll be paying special attention to the areas outlined in the OP.

@Bram - It is a good start! Even though I would like to see strategies being discussed, lap counting, setup hints... Is everyone hiding until qualifting these days?

Or am I just outdated, and everything is kept secret on this facebook-thingy? :p

Or perhaps everyone is all on the same page anyways! Pretty obvious setup for this one. Full tank of gas, hard tires, and no pit stops :) Perhaps we can update the liveries and put a giant red target on the back of Oscar?
