difficult start to rally: first steam said there was an update to the game which caused it to crash some turns into stage01 (was there an update? really?), then the game ran in window mode and hence on low fps, so i again left, on the third try i finally managed to do stages 1-3, finally got into anything resembling a rhythm middle of stage03 only to hit a bystander when i had to reverse off a boulder with only five turns or so left of said stage. All in all a start to forget, hope the second half of day one will be better.

At least Gimp gave me a fun cubist image:

Ventured out on to the first 3 stages in the Weyerbacher Brewing Team Fate Rally Kadett this morning. After the crew finished the final tweaks after swapping the "slow:poop:" drivetrain and suspension for the "fast". For their mistake I had to withhold the crews ration of Ouzo and Baclava. After 3 stages we are presently sitting 4th in 2wd- class about 25 seconds adrift of the cluster of Kieran, Ivy and Navitori. With no major mistakes except a misjudged exit on a hairpin which put me nose first into a shrub, the car looks like it will easily repair back to 100% for the next set of stages.

How people do WR times stage after stage and getting away with it is beyond me. Slow down people. Geez :O_o::p

Either practicing or hotlapping it. Or even worse.

Lets just say that this game is not well suited to a competitive environment.

On a related note: my experience thus far: http://imgur.com/a/UUdr8 (I just sent that pic to my team mate while wishing him luck)
But i accepted it

I have come to the conclusion that the pacenotes were made using a blindfold and a dice

Gutted i had to retire, i had great pace when i took it easy but Greece got the better of me...... First DNF of the season and hopefully last. Ill be taking a new approach to Finland.

Got myself to the end thankfully! Some trouble this last day, because I had no control and had to reset when I was out on stage 10! Tried to go for the default setup and keeping my gearing and that went well. Had to redo from stage 7, but it was OK since I got the car under control during the slower stages again.

Image from stage 11 near the end of sector two. A 90 degree right turn.

The next image from the same corner. (The end of sector five if doing Perasma Platani)

Looks like the car is heading off the road, but it's sliding sideways as it's supposed to!

Here's the video of stage 11:

Miserable rally for me.. Too many mistakes and silly errors on my part, my poor little Escort has never been so battered and bruised and deserves a nice rest.. I never have been a fan of Rally Greece and some of the pace notes here seem a bit off, but it's the same for everyone so no excuses. Onto Finland!

Relieved to get to the finish line in quite good condition! That was a technical yet very fun rally! The Group B Lancia S4 handled nicely on the gravel stages of Greece with it's incredible acceleration but I found myself being a bit too cautious around many of the blind and narrow corners (which there are plenty of in this location):roflmao:. I lost a lot of time in the end but my primary goal here was to have a crash/ penalty free rally after the nightmare in Sweden:sick:. Hoping to possibly hang on to some points and not get bumped down too far in the overall classification this time.

Quite happy with the event! Two relatively minor incidents on the same stretch on different stages were the only real mistakes - so I was able to keep my car in good shape. Still over two minutes off the top 4WD- pace, but I couldn't ask much more from myself.

just finished, 8th at the moment could have been 6th bar a spin (with penalty) and a roll. I'm sure there will be some faster guys coming through towards the end of the event. No hotlapping, and apart from doing HVS League a few days ago to find a setup I just jumped in the rig today and went for it, I was a bit too steady on the first few stages until I got my eye in and settled to a regular pace.

Additional cooling fans (one blowing in and one extracting) mounted on the T500 has been a huge improvement, 12 stages without stopping in 18deg ambient room temp and zero drop off of wheel performance as it usually starts to feel a little woolly and less precision after a short while with its weak internal fan.

Well...

I think that's the best Greece Rally I've ever had and I still had a few moments, especially a spin on the last stage.

I were surprised to outpace both Ivysaur and @Kieran Poole but for Leg2 it was not to be re-achieved, I lost about 10-15 seconds on the shorter stages and up towards 25 seconds on the long stages.

But I'm generally satisfied as I finished my 1st Greece Rally in 3 tries :)

Oooh! Sounds like it will be a though task to be the best non-Kadett in Greece then!

Well where to start.. 6 stages done, 6 left at the moment. SS1 till SS4 was terrible for me, SS5 was rather a safety drive (but jumped at start because my finger slipped from the button) but than SS6 I was really on fire, only 18 seconds slower than current best so it was pretty good for me (I didn't even practice, had no fancy), stood 31st yesterday evening, the other 6 today.
