Phuu, just finished my home rally and even though i'm grown up on this kind of surface, i find it annoyingly hard to stay out of the snow banks  Not expecting a very good result here..

Some stats:
247 visits in the snow banks
5378 studs missing from the front wheels
17 spins
1 bright shining "check engine light"
2 barrell rolls
122 meters total jumped over Colin's Crest
1 co-driver that "will never ever sit in the same car as me again" :whistling:
0 Peugeot bodyshell that can be used again
4 exhausted mechanics

Above numbers are only estimated, they may or may not be consistent with the truth ;)

Yo. Our team's budget can't afford replacing a body shell!

Correct, it's a legacy from the turini-error I had on the the first itinerary. The rallies are set up correctly, it's the itinerary picture that is wrong.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, the spelling mistakes and such in the Magazine. I'm really sorry for this as well.

There are no excuses for it, but it became slightly rushed, and stressful as it took quite a bit of time with the results after Monte-Carlo, and the RaceNet names, and then I went to watch, film and stream from the actual Rally Sweden. It all gave us way less time than we would've liked.
Again, it's no excuse, it shouldn't happen at all. It's just an explanation on why. And I promise all the participants in the championship, that I will do better in the future!
Sorry again!

- Ole M
Mate - we should all be so thankful we even have a magazine. We can all live with a few mistakes :inlove:

Thanks for a top lead in to the event again. I am amazed people are finished and in the clubhouse already. I might just make a start on the Rally by about Wednesday but hopefully this time I will be nearly finished by Sunday rather than cramming it all in!

I have been spoilt with a bit of practice the last few weeks and discovered the trick in the Escort is just to manage your approach speed as there is no slowing down and only a bit of speeding up. That said I am not Ken Block!
I also got spoiled and saw how easy you all have it with the 4WD at last weeks promotional race, so much grip and steering! You can role those 2010 cars really very very fast! I might want to change but I don't want to spoil the variety we have just like the real rally!

For Codemasters - can we have a TR7/8 in the new game, and some Volvos!

well that was it a tree on stage 2 totalled the car
Wow, bummer, but I'm amazed you managed that - I've never managed to do terminal damage to a car in Sweden, despite hitting trees outrageously fast (and repeatedly). What car were you in?

PS: it might be a good thing if that happens to me, as it would save me an hour or so of stressful + bad driving after which I'll be outside the points anyway ;) I expect little from this rally, but I might do a bit better in Germany. Come to think of it I'll probably do badly on just about every other rally on the list, bar Germany

Above numbers are only estimated, they may or may not be consistent with the truth ;)

Alternative facts, no issues:x3:

Yo. Our team's budget can't afford replacing a body shell!

I would've thought that a 1-2 and leading the team championship would've made the work to get sponsors and spare parts easier. Or is it just... Swedes?

Mate - we should all be so thankful we even have a magazine. We can all live with a few mistakes :inlove:

Well, I can't. It really bugs me. I'm not a perfectionist, but some things needs to be as close to perfect as possible :)

Thanks for the nice words though ^^,

Day one all done... too many mistakes, a lot of snow banks visited... no spins and no rollovers so that is nice... but 2 minutes from the leader already, repetition of the result in the first event is almost impossible...

PRESS RELEASE:
After finishing Monte Carlo 16th in my class and actually scoring points on my first attempt this season, Peugeot and my team boss (me) got together and managed to put together an even better car before Sweden.
We got some sponsor deals so i just managed to buy a couple of buckets of paint.
Atleast now i wont have to look at that boring green car :p

The last bit of money i had left after servicing the car went to two practice days.
One i Germany and one in Sweden.
Here are some shots of the freshly designed car :)

Hello Ole this is john (jonnis13 racenet name). I have been trying to join the RDRC X1 league through my racenet account for many times since 13th fEbruary but with no luck.. Prior to this i signed in normally in racedepartment, i supplied the info they request for my racenet acc. details, then i followed the link for xbox 1 drivers to join dirt RDRC x1 league through racenet. But after i requested to join with my racecenet account jonnis13 although i can see the RDRC X1 league in "my leagues" section, my name is yet not listed in the participants plus i do not see the RDRC X1 league when i load the Dirt game in my xbox one console. Eventually i pressed "leave league" from RDRC X1 in dirtgame site and i wonder why i can't be visible to this league since i can see RDRC X1 in MY LEAGUES section. I wish you to tell me if it is possible to apply for join request again, but to link to racenet RDRC X1 with my xbox live account this time if possible.. please let me know if it is possible to do so, plus to be accepted by you, or i quit the effort to join this RDRC X1 league..

You were accepted in to the league 13th Feb. 18:30 GMT+1, in theory everything should work when that was done. No matter what the issue was or is, you'll need to reapply to that league. I would also expect that you'd only be able to drive in the league by the use of the xBox live account. If you used your Steam account to join the league that might be the issue.
So, use your xBox account and apply again.

I usually check the leagues right before I go to bed, when I get up and after dinner, before I go to the gym. So on certain days it might take 14-18 hours to get accepted.

Hi Ole thank you for making me this clear because it is very stange. When i first register to codemasters racenet do i have to choose a platform prior to opening the racenet account? or simply it is ok after i sign up with my new racenet account i simply choose a platform & then join a league? because that is what i 've done.. in fact i used my old account i opened around 2 years ago to enter your RDRC X1 league under jonnis13 name, & probably it was under steam platform..So, saddly i can't see my racenet account name in the league members even after when you accepted my request & also i can't see the league in LEAGUES section when i load the Dirt Rally game on xbox one...
Anyway i am going to sign in to racenet using my xbox live account to submitt a new request for RDRC X1 & i also have to inform racedepartment for the change in drive's name and send them my xbox live profile name.. my xbox luive profile name would be SinCleaneR72.. i hope i will be able to participate to this importand & challenging RDRC X1 league finally..
thank you in advance
greetings
John..

Hello Ole. This is John. I send you a short update about my failure to see my racenet display name in the RDRC X1 league name list, & instead to use my xbox live profile to request to enter RDRC X1 as you instructed me. . Well, I just found out that so far there was a problem with my racenet account linked to my xbox live profile with which i requested you to join the RDRC X1 yesterday...
I just saw that it is linked under a different mail address to my xbox live profile!!! I mean, the two linked accounts are under different mail addresses, not the same mail address & i suspect this is the reason racenet has trouble some times to get the game data from my xbox live account when ever i played the Dirt Rally game leagues! (suddenly few days ago there was a pop up message from racenet while i was playing a Dirt rally league on xbox one console saying : xbox cannot upload data to the racenet & that racenet account is used by some one else)..
So, i unlinked the racenet account with the different mail address to my xbox live profile & have linked a racenet account that has the same mail address with my xbox live profile.. so, yesterday, after you told me to use my xbox live profile to join RDRC X1, i requested to join RDRC X1 with my xbox live profile which was linked to the racenet account with the different mail address!! but today, after i just found out this problem i unlinked the racenet account with the different mail address from my xbox live profile (racenet display name r2d213) & linked the racenet account with the same mail address to my xbox live profile (racenet display name jonnis13). Do i have to cancel join request to the RDRC X1 league & again re-apply for a new join request since i unlinked a racenet account & linked a different one? or its ok to leave it as it is..
i am sorry for putting you to this trouble to read through all this, but this is what happened..
thank you again for helping me
best regards
John.

Last night the first car of the new-founded "oasis RallySport" Team hit the roads of Sweden.

In a slightly changed livery from the one he used at the Monte, Lutz Müller took the first 7 stages.
rdrc_02_02.jpg

Here's a quick summary of what happened:
At SS1 Lutz chose to have a "safety first" behavior to get well into that rally without risking to much. It was a clean run without any mistakes and only 4 sec. above his PB. Good start!
rdrc_02_03.jpg

SS2 went exaclty like SS1 - a clean run with 1 sec. above PB.
At SS3 he then had the first spin...
rdrc_02_04.jpg

...after his mobile rang in his pocket. Waht in the whole wide world can be so urgent to disturbe him during a rally??? :) This caused a total loss of the rhythmn he had until that point. Some corners after that...
rdrc_02_05.jpg

...he even rolled over after a small jump but no major damage to the car occured and the time was not so bad in the end.

After calming down with a cigarette and a beer and having his mobile on "flight mode", he continued with SS4 in a tremendous way - 5 sec. under his PB in a clean run.
The first service saw the teams machanics to solve most of the problems on the car :)

With changed weather conditions Lutz decided to drive it more safely on stages 5-7 and SS5 and SS6 went well without any mistakes or issues.
rdrc_02_06.jpg

As the night came to the swedish forrest he let the brake discs glow and found his way to service point 2 - even though he did not find any rhythmn on SS7 he was quite happy with stage times so far...

Lutz will climb into his italian car tonight to finish the rally...more to read about this tomorrow morning!

Alright day 2 completed, only destroyed 2 houses, 5 trees, 2 spectators (sorry) and managed to roll my car 6 times in one stage. Averaging almost 3 rolls per stage right now...
Annoying snowbanks. There is 0 indication whether a snowbank is hard or soft >.< So you think you use it to slow down a bit. Instead you roll into oblivion.

I finished the rally yesterday.

Felt very up for it after having visited Rally Sweden during the weekend but sadly I was a bit too on it so I had a couple of spins when I arrived a bit too fast into some turns but generally a good event disregarding these issues.

A few shots that those watching caught of me going through the Rally can be found with this post...

A bit dissapointed that I probably won't fight for a win in class due to the misstakes but the Ol' Girl was a bit tricky to drive, it has all the power high in the rev range and you really want low revs to keep the drive going...
