Well that was a challenging one, and despite retiring almost half of the stages, I had a good time:

ss1: Went well, driving for the first time since Round 4, noticed how I had missed this!
ss2: The stage got skipped for some reason
ss3: Slow pace, but happy to drive with no mistakes

ss4: Really having fun, improving 10 sec from the first run.
ss5: Quite a scary stage for me, but made it with no mistakes.
ss6: Pleased with the driving, again faster than the first time through.
ss7: First time I drove this stage, was cautious but still went in the bushes once.

ss8: Quite hard for me with the fog, and a shame since I carried too much speed before a 3 right, just 500m from the end. The car hit the nasty barriers and the engine went in flames.
ss9: With intermediates it was a slow trip up the hill, but great fun! Had a moment on the first hairpin of the downhill, when leaving the main road, but made it to the end in one piece.
ss10: Felt that I started with a fast pace, maybe too fast as I clipped the one and only tree 400m from the start and killed the engine again.
ss11: Hit an inside wall and stalled, plus broke the gearbox in 2nd, the car would not go further.

ss12: Halfway through had too much speed on the tightning 5 left, managed to avoid hitting the cameramen there but then hit the mountain instead. Engine dead again.
ss13: Hit a tree at the beginning, I am feeling that I have lost it by now...
ss14: Managed to finish this one, nice to finish the rally at the finish line at least :)

Thank you to the organisers for putting up the event once again, and good luck to everyone on this round! I am happy to be leading Rallye Terre de l'Auxerrois :)

That was Awesome for Sure.
it was a lonely EU1. only Two of us me and John C. It was a mistake Free Run for me. only very small mistakes going a bit Wide All What is left is to Wait. but Defiantly a Good Race for me. and Will Def Get some good points. Game on!!

No Practice AT ALL untill 4 hrs before the start. Considering this, the race went suprisingly well....
apart from ss8.

I hit the wooden fence at the top of the hill on the way up Joux Plane. (right up at the cliffs)
It was a stupid mistake on a part of the stage I know. As usual I was punished by a dead engine and had to retire.

Other than that it was a great race which I realy enjoyed, I am starting to get the set-ups right on the car and
hopefully my average speeds are improving. I am not getting any practice at the minute because of home chores.
I have just put my work and HH-Dmm's cars through their yearly test and am currently working on my Escort for its test.

Anyway, yet again a BIG Thank you to all envolved!

jc

Again a good rally for me, without retires, and CFHs :)
One of the strange moment of the rally, the rainy downhill of Joux Verte, where only I can managed to complete the stage, everybody else in the session have to retire...
its looking for a great result for me, before the summer break :D

Got up at 4 o clock and tried to drive the US3 session all by myself. Had to retire on SS2 and lost time when I went off on SS1 and SS2. Otherwise OK until the computer threw me out after SS8, saying the installation is not valid.
**** and game over.

Only tried the Pribram stage once, half an hour before the rally. This should be... interesting.

  • SS01 - retired, of course. Hit two different trees head on. One was low speed, no major damage. The other was fatal.
  • SS02 - I hate Bisanne. Bisanne II is even worse. Still, did some nice hairpin turns, from the cockpit at least :D
  • SS03 - started really good, was amazed at what I was getting away with :D. Unfortunately, caught a bank, the car bounced up, and I lost control and went into the trees. Some steering damage, nothing too serious, just lost 7-8 seconds. Another small moment later on, but managed to finish the stage.

  • SS04 - managed to survive. Almost. Hit a fence near the end, hard, messed up the steering quite a bit. Not a good thing to have for the following three stages.
  • SS05 - retired, almost intentionally.

Getting too hot here for me, need to get away from the computer a bit. Will skip a few, and take some later stages. I hate summer.

Well, that was a spot of fun :)
I was definitely wearing my race face John :p
I thought it was an excellent rally, great variation of the conditions and all
Had an epic battle with Keegz for the first half of the rally too, epic fun
Broke a steering arm on SS8 but managed to set some half decent times after that (I dunno)
Can't wait to see the end results, I'm really interested to see where I got :)
Had to choose the OC3 session as I'm going away for Rally New Zealand (going to help Hayden with things) and need a full nights sleep for the long haul drive wednesday morning :p

That was definitely fun, (for the first half atleast! ;) )
Battling with Jack up until SS8 then it went all wrong, and i couldn't get a spot of concentration in my head!
Excellent choice of stages, the different conditions and terrains.
I'm rubbish in the wet, thank GOD i'm ok in real life!
I chose to drive OC3 as i wanted to battle Jack! hope my times are well..

Rally to forget... I was running not too bad of what i expected to run, but i´ve had to retire at the last 3 stages, because of the work...
Reminder: Never do the rally at this time again...:)
See you on next rally...

If I had remembered to read more than the line "Peugeot" before clicking "GO" I would have driven in the EU3-session aswell. But when I discovered the 206 WRC at the start line, I found out that I had to go for EU4 instead :p
