RDLMS4: Sign Ups Closing Soon!

There are only six days remaining to sign up for the fourth season of RaceDepartment’s Le Mans Series. If you have somehow missed the pre-season hype, the RDLMS is a hugely popular endurance series commencing shortly on the rFactor platform. Each competing team in the RDLMS consists of two to six drivers who will share driving duties throughout each event. The grid is compiled of four unique classes including both prototype and GT cars, replicating real life endurance racing as closely as possible. It’s not too late to prepare an entry to wheel out at Silverstone next month for the first round of the season; however you’ll need to complete some preliminary reading and preparations before this Friday (8th Of March).

For prospective team owners, it’s important to read the Intro and Information Thread for all of the essential details regarding classes, liveries, schedules and additional rules. The full season schedule must also be considered and communicated to your drivers to ensure there is an adequate number of drivers available for each event. Team owners must then carefully read through the Team Owner License Agreement (TOLA) for all important information regarding how to obtain a license enter a team in the series. Any queries by team owners can be clarified in the Question and Answer thread by a RaceDepartment staff member.

For drivers not affiliated with a team but wishing to compete in the series, it’s equally important to be up to speed with the Intro and Information thread and the full season schedule to ensure that you are available to compete for the team on the event dates. From there, make a post in the Teamless Drivers thread to connect with other drivers and team owners attempting to organize an entry into the series. There are plenty of teams looking for drivers, and new teams can always be established by groups of drivers wishing to compete.

Remember, sign ups close on Friday so please be sure to finalize your entry over the next few days. Once your team has reserved a place on the grid, be sure to read through the Simsync and Downloads thread for instructions regarding how to access the mandatory files for the upcoming RDMLS season. The software documentation thread is also important to understand the procedure for competition in the series. The final entry list will be published on Saturday, and submission for car skins will also open on Saturday, so be sure to keep a close eye on the RDLMS section of the forums. With just over a month until the first event, it’s time to think about booking your flights to Silverstone!
