Sorry Alexey! Forgot to add you to the conversation
the 5 club events that are needed do they have to be f3 clubevents or can it be any other clubevents as well?
They can be any club events, but you do need to be Premium member to take part too!
Any? Even "non-AMS"?
Just had a nice club event with the Caterham and was asking myself if I should pursue this further(not entirely sure if the calendar will work out for me), but I might run out of time now anyway.
Any club event from any of the clubs
Hmm, and when's the "deadline" for the 5 club races to be done?
I've sure done some in the past, but aaaaaaaages ago
Deadline is this sunday, and it will be 5 club events in the past 3 months
Can I ask what the grip level will be for the qualifier so I can start to get some practice in the next week or so?
Also with regard to people having to leave the session and join part way through, that can cause some pretty big stutters for me, quite often I'll have a qualifying lap ruined by people continually joining/ leaving the session.
How is this going to be managed?
We have no choice. We can't force people to stay for the entire hour for two reasons: limited laps and limited server space. So we have no choice.
As for grip level, we are not too sure yet, but most likely the medium level of grip.
Ok thanks for the reply, as long as there are no joiners mid session it should be ok, after all it's only an hour
I assume it will be a private qualifying, ain't it? In that case it might not be as big of an issue, as the opponents don't have to be loaded/unloaded graphically.
Good point, I'm not sure
Is the grip going to change within the hour, or is it fixed?
if private qualifying works, it will be used.
grip will be progressive.
Is that really a good idea? I mean who would then want to join at the start of qual, and not wait for the last 30minutes when grip is better? It would present an unequal playing field, as well as much higher server load (or even overload) at the end of the session.
This is only an opinion per say, but one that might worth a second thought.
Yeah my opinion would match Tamas's, would be best with a level playing field i.e. No track progression.
Ill agree with Tamas as well. If the point is to get people to do there 12 laps within an hour the grip should not progress. Its unfair.
It's kinda Realism VS Fairness(as in equal conditions for everyone) here.
TBH, I'd probably "turn off" realism for this qualifier. Otherwise, we might not see anyone really trying to get on track until like 15 minutes to the end
But hey, everyone will try to make the best of whatever decision will be made.
I would like to sign up to this however I haven't competed in any club events yet. If I were to get 5 club events in the next two peeks prior. Would that allow me to sign up?
Unfortunately no. Sign ups close tonight and everyone needs to have the club events completed so I know how many people will definitely be racing. Sorry Jay!
