Small size, big performance. Don’t be deceived by the 2.0 litre, 4 cylinder engine, the weapon of choice for RaceDepartment’s World Series by Renault is quick. The second edition of the series will feature a full grid of 30 evenly matched Renault Clio’s fighting it out over five compelling rounds.

To take the title, you must squeeze every tenth off your lap times, be willing to make the big move when given the opportunity, and keep a cool head surrounded by 29 swarming Clio’s. Wheel to wheel, bumper to bumper racing will be the order of the series, so be prepared for some intense battles and don’t be surprised if you lose some bodywork along the way. Using the slipstream and throwing your Clio up the inside will be your best method for attack; however you must also be prepared to pull out of all your tricks to hold off challenges from behind.

The World Series by Renault will consist of five memorable rounds at some of the best tracks rFactor 2 has to offer. The first four rounds will include an exhilarating 20 minute qualifying session followed by an action filled 45 minute race. The fifth round is the Grand Final; with a special 60 minute day/night race planned to close out the season and decide the championship. Any driver is welcome to reserve their place on the grid after applying for a RaceDepartment licence, so look out for the sign up page opening on the 21st of January. Custom liveries are not necessary, so simply choose a default livery and take to the track!

The Renault Clio is guaranteed to produce fantastic racing. Fire up rFactor 2 and prepare for a professional, but equally fun league open to drivers of all skill levels. Get your free RaceDepartment license and go to the forum to signup, and discuss the upcoming season. This is truly a series not to miss.
