First test practice session has been run today and we could see teams testing different options and using free units from suppliers.
Times for sure don't mean much at this point but only 1 rider went under 1.24sec, and it was 2KF1's Kallio on his first lap on soft Dunlop tyres.

Other than that it, 2KF1 decided to take only 2 runs. Mars-Tech also gave Bradl and Simoncelli 4 runs. On the other side, Rossi, from Arrows GP International, has been testing with filled tank and he set a lot of the slowest times.
But for sure, we are expecting to see fastest times in qualification which will start in 2 days.

It is possible, but suppliers are not yet familiar with the sport so they have made bad tyres and engines. It is expected of them to be much better by the end of the season.

Due to heavy snow that wa falling last few days and extremly low temoerature, the is a lot of ice on track and thus it is not safe for riding. Qualification start is delayed for at least couple hours.

Yes, in pre season you can use as many engines/chassis/tyres as you like.

Qualification has been finished and it showed great pace from Australian Stoner, who got the pole by 3 tenths. The biggest loser is for sure Rossi, who was just short on fuel and couldn't finish his lap. In the end, Grip's and 2KF1's riders managed to find their engineers, which showed that they made great job with collected data. Putting all 4 riders in top 6.
On the other side, DTK was playing it safe on fuel and it looks like that difference in weight made a big difference, as their 3 riders are last 3, excluding Rossi.

Race will start on Sunday afternoon, time will be announced.
