RD IndyCar Manager Season 1

  1. Welcome to season one of the Race Department IndyCar Forum manager game.​

    Season One is a step into the unknown. With a vast range of upgrades, upgrading wisely will be extremely important. Do you upgrade your pit crew, your driver or your car. Do you want to be a road course expert, a speedway expert or a superspeedway expert (where double, even triple points are on offer)

    RD IndyCar Regulations and Information Season 1

    1- Calendar
    We have an 18 race calendar for season one, which includes 9 road courses, 5 speedways and 4 superspeedways. Along with that, we have two mid season tests and a preseason test

    1- Mid Ohio (RC)
    2- Long Beach (RC)
    3- Zandvoort (RC)
    4- Hungaroring (RC)
    5- California (SS) (Double Points)
    6- Atlanta (S)
    7- Texas (S)
    8- Phoenix (S)
    9- Brands Hatch (RC)
    10- Barber (RC)
    11- Watkins Glen (RC)
    12- Talladega (SS) (Double Points)
    13- Pocono (SS) (Double Points)
    14- Bavaria (RC)
    15- Sandown (RC)
    16- Las Vegas (S)
    17- Homestead Miami (S)
    18- Indianapolis (Double Points)

    2- Point System
    The game will follow the current IndyCar point system (apart from the double point events and the Indy 500)

    3- Manufactures
    4 manufactures have joined for season one and all have provided your engine and aerokits

    There performance stats and costs are as followed

    - Engine (15)

    - Aerodynamics (19)

    Honda (£1100)

    B- Beat your teammate(s) (£350)
    C- Fastest Lap (£300)
    D- Qualify on Pole (£300)
    E- Finish Top 5 (£250)
    F- Gain over 5 positions from your starting position (£200)
    G- Finish Top 10 (£150)
    H- Finish the race (£100)

    5- Upgrades

    The marketplace will be opened for upgrades soon. Manufactures will bring two in season upgrades depending on what needs improving

    6- Prize Money
    The championship prize money is yet to be announced but here is the race by race prize money (which is doubled at all SSuperspeedways

    5th- £1450
    6th- £1300
    7th- £1200
    8th- £1100
    9th- £1000
    10th- £900
    11th- £800
    12th- £700
    13th- £600

    17th-42nd- £300

    7- Teams

    There will be no team 'manager'. Car Upgrades will be decided by all the drivers. One car, Two car and Three Car teams are allowed. To form a team you need to message some other members and form a team together and get someone to paint you a the livery

    8- Signups

    After reading this awfully long passage, you must be wondering how you sign up

    Well this is the section for you

    As a driver, here is the signup form you need to follow

    Driver Name: (Can be real or fantasy)
    Driver Number:

    When you form a team, you need to post below the following

    Team Name:
    Engine and Aero Manufacture:

    Everyone will receive £1200 and every team will receive £3000 (but you have to buy aerokits and engines)

    There will be some pretty little spreadsheets on this post soon, I nerd to send them to @Milos so he cab add some lovely formulas

  6. Ford and Lola aren't currently in the series

    It's only Lotus, Toyota, Chevrolet and Honda at the moment

  14. Shouldn't the one car (the one higher in the results) count though, just in case a team has one or two drivers less?

  17. I have a separate point system for teams which takes their average positions (fairest way) and points will be decided from that
