(Sorry it this is obvious but I'm fairly new to online sim racing leagues and don't want to download the wrong stuff...)

Liveries & Numbers

  • Custom liveries are what make league racing special! Drivers will design and create their own personal livery for the season and can discuss and share ideas on all things skinning in our dedicated thread.
  • From there, a skin pack will be compiled and all drivers must download and use the skin pack for all league events and must use their respective livery.
  • Skins must not contain any explicit or inappropriate images or graphics. Skin sizes must also be no larger than 2048x2048.
  • Driver numbers will be chosen by the drivers themselves. The number they choose will remain with them for all future seasons of Australian Formula 3 should they choose to compete.
  • Drivers who competed in the previous Australian League season will take precedence on which number they can choose over drivers who did not compete. Of the drivers who did compete, those that placed higher in the standings in the previous season will take precedence over those lower than them.

General Rules
  • The 2016 RDGPC will operate in accordance with the 2015/16 RD league regulations unless otherwise specifically outlined. By participating in this league, you are agreeing to abide by the rules set out in the regulations.
  • Pitstops are not mandatory, however drivers are free to take to the pitlane if they so desire.
  • Rejoining the race track after using 'Esc + Back to Pits' will result in immediate disqualification and possibly further sanctions if deemed necessary.
  • All drivers must be able to make it back to the pit lane under the power of their own car. Drivers are free to use the 'Esc + Back to Pits' during all Practice and Qualifying sessions.
  • The top 5 drivers at the end of the season will qualify automatically for an entry spot in the upcoming RaceDepartment Le Mans series, should they wish to compete.

Absences
This is one of the most important parts of the league briefing you need to understand! When you sign up to the RDGPC, we expect you to be present during all the races. This commitment shows respect to the league, your fellow drivers and the organisation.

If you can't make it to the next race please report your absence in the dedicated thread so we can inform a reserve driver to take over your slot.

Teams
Drivers are free to choose their own teammate, or they may enter as an Independent, or as a team with a maximum of three drivers. There may be no more than three drivers per team. The collective scores of the drivers will go towards the Team's Championship.

Weather
Weather conditions play a vitally important role in car setup and handling. How you adapt to the conditions can often be the difference between a win and a loss. All rounds of the RDGPC will be raced under the forecast maximum temperature and weather conditions exhibited by that very track in real life on that very day, so be sure to keep a close eye on the weather forecast in the lead up to race day.

Custom Skins.jpg
Use this thread to ask your skinning questions, share pictures, and talk anything skin related!

Everyone who is on the entry list can submit a skin. Each car can have its own livery. If you cannot skin a car yourself we encourage you to find somebody who can. Use this thread to find one of those great artists that can help you out.

Liveries must not contain any explicit or inappropriate images or graphics. Skin sizes must be no larger than 2048x2048.

If you're unable to create your own, or employ the services of a helpful modder, we are also supplying two standard-issue RaceDepartment skins for you to choose between. These will then be customized accordingly to reflect your name, number and nationality.

Stewards Notice Board.jpg
All racing incidents will will be reviewed by an independent group of staff who hold no affiliation to this league in any way, shape or form. All incidents will be viewed on their merits, and the decisions made by the stewards will be respected even if you disagree with the outcome.

Submitting a Report:

Reports are submitted to @Chris Stacey via Personal Message, who will then forward them to the stewards. Reports must be submitted within 24 hours of the conclusion of the race. If you would like a racing incident to be looked at, then please make sure you conform to the procedure and standards that are expected of an incident report. This means:
  • Your name, the round number, and the lap of the race on which it occurred.
  • Clear video evidence of the events leading up to, during and proceeding the incident (total length should be ~1 minute).
  • A variety of camera angles from both your opponents, and your own perspective.
  • A text description of the events.

Penalties:
The race stewards will have many different penalties at their disposal. For racing incidents there are time penalties and point penalties that can be issued depending on the severity of the incident(s).

If a time penalty is not deemed fit, then the points penalties are as follows:
  • Minor offence: 3 penalty points
  • Moderate offence: 6 penalty points
  • Major offence: 10 penalty points

As a means of achieving consistent officiating, track cutting during the race (more than two wheels leaving the white/yellow lines and gaining an advantage) will be systematically judged. Drivers who breach Rule 6.1 without 100% throttle lift off for at least 1 second, will be penalised.
  • 2 cuts = Reprimand (Two reprimands in consecutive rounds = 10 second penalty)
  • 3 cuts = 5 seconds added to your total race time.
  • 4 cuts = 10 seconds added to your total race time.
  • 5 cuts = 20 seconds added to your total race time
  • >5 cuts = 20 seconds added to your total race time + 5 seconds for every additional cut.
  • 10 or more cuts = Disqualification

Any sign-outs beyond this point will be met with a back of the grid start for the following race.

Drivers who fail to report absence will be immediately removed from the league.

Absences must be of legitimate reasoning.
