I just want to introduce myself and say hello. I'm new to RD and new to iR. I've been reading alot about iR lately and decided to give it a go. Today is my second day with iRacing so I dont' have an opinion just yet. I love sim racing but unfortunately not very fast...hahahaha. Anyways I learned about RD from raceroom forum as I love simbin titles. Anyways I'm rambling but I hope to see some of you on the track. :wink:

Thank you very much Will! I've been on iR for a few days now and I have a few questions. The iR forums are quite busy and hard to figure out. Anyways my biggest concern right now is my FOV. I like a wide FOV which I have and I like that but for me I see too much dashboard. I would like to "raise my seat" if you know what I mean. Can I do that? Also I'm having a very hard time upshifting and downshifting in the Miata. I just can't seem to figure out the transmission. If you can point me out in the right direction for some reading material that would be fantastic. Thanks again.

I think if you hold down shift and press your FOV +/- key, that will move your seat up and down.

you can set it up while on server. click options and then "other" tab. shift up and down, or so ... set keys as you want

iRacing's transmissions will often not shift if under a load or the shift is made too fast.Two cars that come to mind are the MX5 and the Mustang.I now clutch for shifts in most of the cars I drive and I've learned to slow down with certain H shifter cars on the upshift.With the Skip I often push and hold the sequential as the revs are winding up then snapping the clutch in and out when it's time to shift.
