Our next Rally is open for sign-up.

This time we take a step back to the amazing Group B era, when the cars were incredibly fast, the drivers super skilled, and the spectators were insane.

For this one, we will run the Lancia 037, which proved highly successful until the arrival of the amazing 4WD Audi and Peugeot rockets. The Lancia 037 looked like a supercar, sounded great, and had very good performance for a RWD car.

Although the real car was RWD, the car in RSRBR is actually a 4WD in physics, although they have restricted the diff settings to emulate close to a RWD handling. The good news is that the handbrake will work in this car. It still retains much of the RWD style handling characterisics (it slides the tail easily) but should be a little easier for those who struggle with true RWD.

We will run a range of Stages and surfaces across many countries. Weather varies a little but are mostly mild to suit the car, which should provide enough of a challenge.
We have included two challenging BTB Stages to finish with, including the legendary Pikes Peak mountain climb.

This time, we revert back to Reduced damage , to make things a little less demanding and let us enjoy the Lancia a little more.

DRIVER BRIEFING NOTES:

1. This car is typical Group B, fast and with "lively" handling. It will require some patience and skill to adjust to its power and slippery tail, so it is recommended to give it a test run first.

2. RBR Pacenotes are designed for default cars, Normal conditions and Good weather. Please remember to adjust your speeds to suit this car.

3. Tyre selections are the drivers responsibility. If you use the automatic tyre selection option in RSRBR2012, please beware that sometimes it may give you the wrong tyre for the conditions. Always double check your tyres, it is critical, especially for Snow Stages.

4. Please ensure to install the two BTB Country Packs listed in the main post . Pikes Peak is a long and dangerous mountain climb, but is thrilling to drive. Please take care to look after the car to ensure you make it to the top.

If requests are made for any additional timezones, or changes to Start times to better suit your local needs, we will try to include them ( but within the Monday/Tuesday periods).

In addition, we have the added bonus for the driver who finishes in 4th place, choosing the details for the nominated Club Rally on 24th & 25th September 2012.

Thanks to Damien for the great Banner.

Good luck all, and welcome back to the famous Group B era :devilish: .

It is as rear wheel driven as a 4WD can be, at least.Would be nice to try it with proper RWD physics like the Volvo or the Escort, but that is something I can't create myself.

It will be a handfull to drive regardless, looking forward to competing with it :)

someone explane SS01 - France – Joux Plane espesially this (Normal, Damp, Day)

This means that for Stage 1, we drive the Joux Plane stage (France), using "Normal" mod (which is tarmac for France), weather setting is "Covered Damp", and the daylight setting is "Daylight".

Each of these settings can be selected within RSRBR2012 on the Server. You can also test it with these settings off-line.

EDIT: Oops! Senad posted at the same time (again :)).
