All (not only my) mods with mod installer determined identically. Some antivirus determines like virus, nothing surprising, because mod installer make changes in files.
You can use Sandboxie for see, what is changing, when you install mod.

Which files are for the oil pan protector and the strut bars? subframe.dat seems like it's for the oil pan. Which one is for the strut bars? body_masse or datsun_body_masse?

Yes, subframe.dat - it is oil pan protector.
You can install only oil pan protector with pickup mod.

For some reason I decided that you use satsuma ute mod..

body_masse and datsun_body_masse - this is model and texture of strut bars and mudguards.
You can't install strut bars without mudguards.

I was wondering how to go about uninstalling the mod? I used the installer version, but I'd like to switch over to using the individual part mods you've since released.
