Well I'm just a tad annoyed

All went brilliantly, beating all other (205) opposition on all the stages I could do, having some close competition with magnuslindgren (sorry don't know your real/forum name) but...

SS5 accidently hit something when it started loading RBR and the window went small and just a black box appeared, I could hear the game but couldn't see it! Annoying but ah well carry on and try and close that gap again!

Next stages went well and even beat one stage in the session! Then...

SS8 Sweet Lamb, my favourite stage having competed there in real life, press go, starts loading...and I'm back at the RS centre! Forgot I was running in 16 bit to try and keep comp temps down and Sweet Lamb wont run in 16 bit. I'm Livid!

Thanks to everyone for putting it on, was good fun although all that.

Going to have a crack at Sweet Lamb now to calm myself down!

Latvians ruled the EU session :p With Andris coming first and me coming second. Although I had 2 call for helps (one of them happened to be about 2 or 3 meters before finish line) and some kind of glitch in Pirka Menoko which I`ll show in few screenshots. That was great fun but the Pirka Menoko and Rally Poland ruined it for me a little. Also 2 heavy spins in the Joux Plane and both times went off the road which was disasters to get back on road (3rd split). Huge spin at Shepherds Shield. The engine started to lose power at the middle of Noiker stage (Im guessing that the Head Gasket was damaged a little after a punt to a tree). Not very lucky rally, really but I enjoyed it anyways. Huge thanks to the organizers.

Will add those screenshots in a bit.

WOW what a crazy rally for me. I didn't practice so I didn't know that Sweet Lamb is not loading for me. To bad everything was OK last time I tried it. I tried it three times after the session has ended but no luck.

Anyway, my rally started great. I was in the lead by 15 seconds, but the next stage was Poland that I drove for the first time and I got stuck in the ditch and had to CFH. My bad luck continued. As I moved my mouse wheel I chosen snow tires by mistake just as I was starting the stage. Thought about quieting but as always I didn't and I took it as a challenge to finish the stage with damage settings on realistic and a RWD car. Made it home without any trouble. :)

On the next stages I pushed and had a spin on SS7. Still I was 4 seconds behind Andris in the second, but no luck with the last stage put me way back again.

I'm afraid i'm going to have to drop-out of this tomorrow, i've been travelling back from Oulton Park tonight and feel absolutely knackered so i'll try to catch up on some sleep tonight. This weekend has been hectic to say the least!

Check the wheel geometry. And the height of the car cars back. it was just insane, it shouldnt be like that and it wasnt like that for other stages. Also the FFB of my steering wheel was insane, felt like 400% strenght on it, my hands started to hurt in the middle of stage already. That was just sick :/

P.S. I didnt damage the wheels or something. I even couldnt damage them because I couldnt go any faster than 2nd gear in that stage so a crash wasnt really a possibility. But I know for sure that it looked like that from the beginning of that stage. Clearly a bug or something. Not that anybody here could change anything, Im just saying.. It was retarded.

Still I was 4 seconds behind Andris in the second, but no luck with the last stage put me way back again.

You was 4s behind me, Andris was way ahead of us, about one and a half minute, to be honest. :p :)

Decent rally for me. First time ever I ve seen my name as a top runnerat some of the stages!
And I am very lucky to have my mechanics so quickly rebuilding my outburned car after a heavy crash into the wooden barrier at the fastest point at SS5 JouxPlane. The car was already in race trim for SS6!
I had also a scary moment on the last stage when I rolled a couple of times, but was happy to end up on the wheels and could continue. Lost only about 20 sec.
This rally suited me and my keyboardfingers well. But I will be faster in the future. Beside me there is a brand new box with a G27 wheel, Soon I will have a table to place it on. Watch out guys!

Keegan Buckley - kbuckley - OC - BMW E36 325i - Looking forward to returning tonight after missing several rounds of the rally club due to changing over my internet and the associated dramas. Now on high speed ADSL and things are working sweet, weather has got very cold (typical Tasmania) and tonight looks like a good time for some hardcore sideways action in the comfort and warmth of my study! See you all trackside!

Damn that 205 is feisty in some of those stages!
Excellent rally, even though sweet lamb crashed YET AGAIN after reinstalling >__________________>
not sure if I won any of those stages, but shepherd shield was close timing wise! top 3 of us posting 1:06:** times :p
Love that car, probably helps that I've fallen in love with f1 2011 thats increased reflexes and ballsy-ness (seriously, its weird O_o)
anyway, thats for setting up the rally guys, was epic!

Now if only people would support me if I were to make a Group A championship (have a sweet idea for safari rally :p ) hehe

Gaaaahhh... I did so well until the last 200 metres of Sweet Lamb. Fifth gear going flat-out down the hill and slid a bit too wide and there was a f*cking marshall standing. It would've been very fast time!
Otherwise the rally was one of the tidiest I've ever driven :p Two spins on Mineshaft and Joux Plane but no more drama. Pirka Menoko on the other hand was slooooww... I don't like dusk and night mods at all. They also make my computer stutter a bit. Haven't found an answer to that yet.

Congrats to Warren who won OC session. Was very nice battling with you and Jack!

That was a great rally, really interesting having two widely different cars competing on the same stages.
Surprisingly, the two seemed pretty competitive in the OC Session, with the Pug faster on some stages but the BMW came into it's own on others. Clearly the Pug was more nimble in the tighter slippery stuff, but the BMW seemed to have longer legs on the more flowing stages.
This made our own little competition in OC much more interesting, and close too.
Jack, Tapio, and I were swapping stage wins all night in our group. Many of the stage times were very close between the three of us.
I really enjoyed driving the Beemer, it still had those unique RWD characteristics, but it didn't seem as violent in the rear as the Escorts, not as quick, but more friendly to drive. Still had that RWD fun factor though. ;) The biggest hassle was getting it around the tight slippery hairpins without a handbrake, especially at Pirka Minoko in the wet, it seemed very slow and was a struggle. Some of the bumpy stages (Noiker, Mineshaft II, and Sweet Lamb) really seemed to suit the BMW which rode the bumps much better than the lighter cars.

Overall, really good fun, and very close racing, especially between Tapio and I in our little Beemer battle. Thanks to all who joined the OC Session. :D

Many thanks to Warren for the opportunity and helping me decide what to do with the rally.:D Big thanks to Damien for the Most Excellent Banner!! Thanks to the Organising team as a whole, and Congrats to all the competitors who had a go!

Sounds like everyone enjoyed the cars, either be it from previously driving them in real life (and enjoying the trip down memory lane), or just enjoying them for the fun cars that they are in RBR! The stages were a bit of a mish mash, but was trying to get some stages that suited the BMW and some that suited the Pug... the idea seemed to work in the OC, as it was very close between all of them at the top, will be interesting to see the overall times!!!

As for me, I seemed to be closer than normal, to the top times!:) Was cruising the last stage, Sweet Lamb, and managed to scare the crap out of my self on two occasions.. One with a massive "90deg to road" slide, next to cliff... The other was a Roll that was more probable than possible, towards the cliff edge. Thanks to Mr Gravity and a Truckload of Opp Lock for bringing the wheels back to terra firma!!

Had some issues with my computer (mainly when starting, and trying to get the view changed to bumper cam.. got a false start and some delays as the computer half froze). But I dont think it would ave changed the outcome!

Ill see if I can get a screen grab of the wanna be roll.. (had a look, and get some crazy underground world, so no screen grab unfortunately!)

Cheers,
Andrew

Fun rally and thanks to the organizers. No red ink, thought maybe I was going too slow so on Sweet Lamb I pushed a little harder and rolled it twice. CFH x 2. The other stages were pretty clean, maybe scratched the paint once and then gave a spectator a scare but no real damage. The 205 was a bit bouncy and at Shep Shield the tail was dragging even tough I reset the ride height.
