Our next Rally is open for sign-up.

A change of pace.

This Rally will be quite different to our normal challenges, driving a much slower RWD car. We will be going back a long way in time to that classic Rally veteran, the Ford Escort Mk.1, which is still popular today in local Rally Events around the world.

The RSRBR2010 mod version of this car is a little rough, the modelling isn’t up to the usual standard, the cockpit is very basic, but it should still prove fun to drive.
The default skin is very plain, but there is a nicer one here (the one shown in the video below), which can be easily installed using the Skin Manager:
http://forum.rallyesim.fr/viewtopic.php?f=75&t=133

Because it is quite slow, it is fairly easy to drive, which should keep everyone’s times much closer and we should see less “red ink”. However, I suspect that it will take some driving skill to get the best times, losing momentum will be costly. Since it is a RWD car, the driving style will need to be different, the handbrake is useless, and you steer tighter turns with the throttle.

We have kept the Stages as all gravel, covering many countries, but avoiding the ones with tight hairpins. These are mostly all faster, longer, and flowing stages to suit this old girl better.

If requests are made for any additional timezones, or changes to Start times to better suit your local needs, we will try to include them ( but within the Monday/Tuesday periods).

Don’t forget to save any interesting Replays and send them to Senad for a possible movie of the Rally.

Good luck all, and hope we see a good roll up. :rally:

A little video to help you see what is in store for you.

Oh. The car looks very basic, but it should be heaps of fun :). Glad to see you feeling better, Warren (both physically and because you're setting up an RWD rally :D).

I thought you might like this one Lukasz, now make sure you bring home the bacon this time. (How's that for PRESSURE!!!)

I'm expecting everyone to be much closer this Rally though. :ups:
