3. The Renault R5 Turbo II has weird handling and is not recommended.

Additional timezone Rallys may be created on request.
If the USA Session drivers prefer a different Start time, please let us know, we can be flexible to suit.
* EU, OC, and US events will only be created on request - so please mention which zone you're signing up for. If no one signs up for a listed Session, it will not be created on the Server.
All sessions will be combined together for an overall result for the event. You can only run on one session.

NOTES:
  • Click here to read the password!
  • You will require the RSRBR 2011 mod, ( Updates 01, 02 ), in order to participate, please see the installation and Usage thread.
  • You will require the Car Pack Group_B .
  • Teamspeak is highly recommended, and adds to the fun.

IMPORTANT:
  • Please sign up in the following format: RD Name (RSRBR2011 Name)
  • Take a screenie of RSCenter, or save your times, showing your final results at the end of the rally (including the car you drove!). This is in case any of your stages are missed by the server. If there's a discrepancy, please post your times ASAP so we're not adjusting times over 24 hours later.
  • You must stick with the same car throughout the rally - if you change, your times for those stages will be defaulted.
  • If you are new to Richard Burns Rally, we have provided a set of guidelines and links to help you get up and running: Here

Drivers:

Please Note: You may choose any car from the Group B Pack.
However, the fast, skilled, experienced drivers are requested to not select the Peugeot 205 T16, in order to allow the other drivers to be a little more competitive.

Our next Rally is open for sign-up.

It's time for us to get wild. We go back to the famous Group B era where the cars were fast, overpowered, handling was wild, and the driver skill was incredible. In Richard Burns Rally, these cars are also just as wild.

Car selection for this Rally will be very important. They vary a lot from car to car, some are very fast but come with difficult handling and require some skill to keep them under control. For inexperienced drivers, choose wisely, the fastest cars may not deliver the best overall result.

To give an indication of the characteristics of each car: (Based on my limited testing).
1. The Peugeot 205 T16 is very fast, but takes skill to drive well.
2. The Renault R5 Turbo is very difficult to drive, I don't recommend it.
3. The MG Metro is a little slower, and despite some unusually light steering, can be nice with practice.
4. The Ford RS200 is the easiest to drive and can give good results to less skilled drivers.
5. The Audi and Lancia S4 are fast but don't handle tight sections too well.
6. The Lancia 037 seems to handle ok, and not too difficult to drive.

Please Note: Since the Peugeot 205 is faster than the others in skilled hands, we are making a special request to our experienced, faster, skilled drivers (you should know who you are). Please demonstrate some fair Rally Club spirit, and do not choose the Peugeot. In this way, some of our less successful drivers may be able to choose this car (if they can handle it) and be slightly more competitive in this Rally.
Remember, the Rally Club is about fun, not just winning.
I chose this approach instead of banning the Peugeot, so I hope our top drivers enter with this sprit in mind.

All Stages are across USA, to allow theses cars to show their speed and to avoid the excessive tight twisty Stages of other countries. All Stages are default gravel and weather is good, the cars will provide enough challenge for this Rally. :)

DRIVER BRIEFING NOTES:

1.Car control will be critical, treat these cars with respect, and you should have fun. Remember, pick a car you feel comfortable over the length of the Rally.
3. RBR Pacenotes are designed for default cars, Normal conditions and Good weather. Please remember to adjust your speeds to suit these cars.
4. Tyre selections are the drivers responsibility. If you use the automatic tyre selection option in RSRBR2011, please beware that sometimes it may give you the wrong tyre for the conditions (as I found out last Rally  ). Always double check your tyres, it is critical.

If requests are made for any additional timezones, or changes to Start times to better suit your local needs, we will try to include them ( but within the Monday/Tuesday periods).

Good luck all, and hope we see a good roll up. :rally:

Here is a little promo video to give you an idea of what to expect:

And of course, the REAL Thing:

LOL, last time we used the 205T16 i was not able to drive.......................guess what, i'm not gonna be able to do this again, bloody work lol.

Good luck everyone. These cars should come with a health warning - DO NOT OPERATE MACHINERY IS YOU HAVE A HEART CONDITION - Even if you don't you WILL by the end of the rally;)

I don't normally practice much for our Club Rallys, but wanted to see what the Audi might be like. (yeah, I was nervous  ).

I won't admit how many restarts and near death experiences I had just finishing this Stage  , but I was having a blast. This thing is insane, and tries to kill you with the tiniest mistake, but just finishing a stage and watching the replay is a huge thrill.
This was the most fun I have ever had with RBR. :)

So I wanted to share my run at Diamond Creek, a Stage that I think may be ideally suited to the Audi. :D:D:D

nice run, I try to practice there after I watch your run but too many restart for me too had enough of it lolx

I'm glad you choose the USA for this event some high speed stages and very fun to watch the cars on replays... glad you didn't choose a monte-carlo killer mod with this cars for the events :D

James Knowles-tannat-

May I request a Tuesday 10:45 GMT time? Sorry to keep requesting the oddball times, but bthis allows me to fully complete the rally, then go straight on to making lunches and getting the family off to work and school.

Perhaps Ashok and Helder will run with me...

Not certain what I drive. My Heart says Delta S4, but the only group B I ever see on the RSRBR boards is the RS 200.....

Roy Magnes - Roy Magnes - EU-TBA

I like the Audi with the attention you have to use on the car, but I blow the engine at 75-80% of the Diamond Creek stage unless I drive at half trottlte... Any ideas?
