Our next Rally is open for sign-up.

This time, we step back in time to the amazing Group B era, when the cars were insanely quick and the drivers showed huge skills and bravado to control these beasts.

For this Rally, we have chosen the most stable and easiest of the Group B monsters, the Ford RS200. Although the Ford was modest in comparison to some of the other Group B cars, it is still mighty quick and requires some care to control it. A little testing prior to this rally is recommended to get a feel for the cars handling. Most drivers familiar with the WRC cars will find the Ford RS200 reasonably familiar.

For this Rally, we will use mostly Gravel Stages, but we have included a couple of Tarmac Stages to test your skills on a different surface. We have also aimed for mainly faster flowing stages to fit the speed of this car.

Weather conditions are mostly mild to allow drivers to use the power available from the Ford.

DRIVER BRIEFING NOTES:

1. This car is 4WD, and has lots of power, so some care is needed with the right foot. The handling is modest compared to the other Group B brutes. Drivers may want to move the Brake Bias forward to help stabilize it under heavy braking.

2. RBR Pacenotes are designed for default cars, Normal conditions and Good weather. Please remember to adjust your speeds to suit these cars.

3. Tyre selections are the drivers responsibility. If you use the automatic tyre selection option in RSRBR2011, please beware that sometimes it may give you the wrong tyre for the conditions. Always double check your tyres, it is critical.

If requests are made for any additional timezones, or changes to Start times to better suit your local needs, we will try to include them ( but within the Monday/Tuesday periods).

Please note that Start Times now take into account DST adjustments around the world, including the Server time. Please check your local times.

Good luck all, and hope you all have fun with this classic Group B car.

And a little video to set the scene.

and a promo video for the Rally showing the car in-game:

Uh-oh. I remember that the RS200 was actually the most difficult for me . Perhaps that was when I first got the game, and couldn't drive anything for more than 50m, LOL.
