With initial images teased several months ago, Sector3 Studios have today revealed preview in game shots from every model contained in the new WTCC 2015 pack for premier 'free to play' racing simulator RaceRoom Racing Experience.

The 2015 season marked the final year for the all conquering factory Citroen team with championship honours remaining firmly in the hands of lead Citroen WTCC C-Elysee driver and reigning World Champion Jose Maria Lopez. The Argentine driver capped a dominant year by becoming back to back champion in only his second full season in the sport as he firmly stakes his claim to becoming one of Touring Cars great driving talents.

The new 2015 WTCC pack for RaceRoom Racing Experience will feature all the cars and drivers that took part in the 2015 championship season as well as special guest driver and Nordschleife specialist Sabine Schmitz's Chevrolet Cruze.

With the same manufacturers present as in the 2014 WTCC pack, the main changes aside from new liveries and drivers is the whole new Lada Vesta which replaced the solid if unspectacular Granta at the beginning of the year. Although suffering from some bad luck and high rate of driver attrition in the second seat, 2015 marked a breakthrough year for the much maligned Russia team with several standout performances for British former World Champion Rob Huff, including a rare podium position at the team's home round in Russia.

As is the usual form with new content releases for RaceRoom it is expected that the WTCC 2015 car pack with feature the latest new physics and handling improvements brought to the game. It is not yet know if these physics updates will be backdated to earlier 2013 and 2014 packs already available in the game store.

In other R3E news the team over in Sweden have revealed a new licensing deal with BMW that will bring the new M235i Racing machine to our virtual tracks in the coming months.

The 333hp M235i Racing has been licensed by Sector3 and announced recently, but currently no news on expected release dates are forthcoming from the development team.

No release dates for either the WTCC 2015 pack or BMW M235i have been released at present, however in typical Sector3 style the upcoming WTCC pack is scheduled to be released..... soon!

Will you be purchasing the new WTCC 2015 upon release? How do you think R3E handles FWD Touring Cars? Let us know in the comments below!

Lets hope it's not too expensive. But I am looking forward to the new releases. I love the FWD cars in RRE, just love how they handle and for me the FFB is perfect. The sim goes from strength to strength but their pricing system sucks big time.
But looking forward to the best race club on Racedepartment hosting some Nords races.

You bet I will, but it's a pity that they haven't announced new tracks to fill in the 2015 calendar. Yes I know we're all fixated on the Nordschleife but Autódromo Termas de Río Hondo and Marrakech would have been very welcome with this pack.
Some great content coming this year but one must have one's dreams:rolleyes:

I'm a big fan of FWD touring cars in general and I feel Sector3 does a very good job with their WTCC content. Easily on a par - if not better than - the other great FWD touring cars in other sims.

I should have enough vRP in my account to buy WTCC15 but will hold fire on putting any more funds into R3E until I see good progress on the features front, which by most accounts is coming along nicely.

I think that's a distinct possibility:D

I really feel this game needs tracks, tracks and a few more tracks.

I'm really pleased to see continuing work on the backend things like physics and things, it's what makes or brakes a game like this.

In sure others will agree though, a few extra tracks will spice things up,the same tracks can get a bit stale after a while

I disagree. In fact, I would say the tracklist is probably the best of the new sims. Only missing some sweet UK circuits. :D

I partly agree on the tracks. R3E has a far better track roster than most but there is a heavy German/Central European bias, which is obviously a consequence of the licensed series involved.

A few more famous venues from around the world would be welcome. Another track from the US, Australia, Japan or some of the prestigious European circuits like Imola. Oh and the full Brands Hatch layout of course!

Last december I made sure to have enough vRPs for whatever they throw us in 2016. The tragedy for me is that there's only the european club actually working in RD, which events I can only attend on sundays (or during holydays like these two weeks). I wish we could build a strong base for american times.

I participated in 1 R3E US event with only 2 other people (both are staffs). The problem is that there is not much server side control, so when we wanted to restarr a session or something like that we couldn't. Lorenzo stopped on the track and tried to wait for me and Matheus to catch up but he was dq'd for stopping on track, and we couldn't restart the session.

Also the server I believe was in Europe, and all of us 3 for some reason were warping pretty bad although the ping wasn't too bad.

But the biggest problem with US club is the generally low participation rate. Last year we could have some nice AC and SCE races (although SCE races usually only had Dennis, Yves, and me), but now it seems that it's awfully hard to even bring people to once popular US AC club races.

I tried some Aussie races in the R3E club but participation wasn't great nor were the ping rates:(.
Setting up some US slots is doable with a bit of forward planning on my part. Give me till after Easter and the new patch, which may bring changes to MP and server. Worth a try:)

I hope they improve the ai more with the next patch and this pack. I find the ai still turns into a procession after a few laps. Also don't know if its me but the ai can brake better than I can so if I brake the exact same time as the ai I will invariably ram them!
